So I've been reading a lot of people complain about how The Unsullied kinda got their asses kicked, and they are supposed to be super badasses.

First off, it's a TV show not a documentary, but this is basically what I've worked out. Them getting fucked up is actually fairly accurate and realistic because The Unsullied are fighters trained for fighting in formations, in battlefields, in war and against visible enemies. Not ambushed and surrounded by backstabbers. Close quarters also means that their spears are not as useful. Plus they where surrounded on all sides and outnumbered. The SOH are quicker because they only use daggers/swords. Unsullied are not trained for street fighting like this and certainly not experienced to defend against guerrilla war tactics which is essentially what the SOH rely on. On the battlefield, forget about it, The Unsullied will tear shit up. Ambushed though? That's a weakness, they have no experience or training for such scenarios, they weren't prepared for it and caught by surprise.

But man, Barristan Selmy is a fucking Sav. I don't know if people realize how much of a badass he truly is and how he's one of the top swordsman of all time. If there was a Floyd Mayweather swordsman in Westeros, Barristan the Bold would beat the shit out of him and it wouldn't even be close! That's how good with a sword he is. The man is a Legend.

Hope it doesn't ruin the books though. Barristans currently one of the three most important POVs. If they killed him off that early in the show maybe it's not that important after all /shrug

My only idea is that the Sons are the pit fighters and that's how they overwhelmed the unsullied and the second best knight to ever live (Arthur Dayne u beezys)

No. Why do you ask?
There's a lot more characters in the book giving her guidance. Her randomly telling that guy they're getting married felt weird because there's a giant lead up of people telling her that she needs to wed a noble to create peace but she doesn't want to because of Daario. Seems like a lot of it would be confusing without the buildup

Ah. Yea, I feel like its clunky because Khalisi only knows how to conquer but is still learning how to rule.
I figure she kills that dude on the alter after the "I-Do's" or what ever they call it.
