Vitali : "After the strong (full) hit, Solis just couldn't fight anymore"
Solis promoter "It was the knee!! Nothing else, no hit!
Solis: "I hurt myself falling...........maybe i made a wrong step, was bad luck, can'T do anything about it anymore........Im not used to losing, it will take me a long time to get over it"

Ha, ya that's a bad way to start/end a night.
330pm here, plenty to go.

Vitali can talk all the shit he wants. I hope he clowns Solis at the post fight conference. Maybe he bet against himself as a first round KO. Who knows whats going on anymore...

German analyists saying Solis was in the lead the first round (won it) and could have had the chance to k.o. Vital, if he kept the pace for 5-6 rounds or more...

This is exactly what happened (article):

Klitschko destroys Solis

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs) easily made the sixth defense of his current title reign against previously unbeaten mandatort challenger Odlanier Solis (17-1, 12 KOs) in front of a sell-out crowd of 19,000+ at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. A big right hand put Solis on the deck at the end of round one. The 2004 Cuban Olympic gold medalist barely regained his feet but was unable to continue, after seemingly suffering a knee injury during the knockdown. Time was 3:00.

Damn i didn't know Solis Manager was Ahmet Öner...dude is a straight criminal. I wouldn't be surprised if this was fixed after all....Solis said in an interview all he really cares about is the money to support his family...

edit: well looks like Öners career in heavy weight boxing is over anyway:
"Solis’ promoter had this to say in an interview at Sky Sports Ringside: “If this guy [Solis] will not beat Vitali Klitschko, I will retire from heavyweight business. Seriously, because I believe this guy is the best heavyweight I ever had.”"

i don't think it was fixed but that guy is shady as hell. he snagged a lot of the cubans who defected like gamboa he also manages. I'm on my phone so ill post it later but one time one of his fighters was getting badly beat with like 2 minutes left in the round and about to get ko'd and this guy Öner grabbed the hammer and rang the bell himself to end the round! dude ended up getting knocked out later but goes to show how shady he is. of course that was in germany too

Damn, that bell ring was super shady.

Haye is right. A lot of his stuff comes off as talking shit but some of his words have backing to them. I am beginning to like his odds against Wladimir.

Bute tonight, but I think they are going to replay Cotto/Mayorga.
