Manny’s miraculous recovery

Posted on Wednesday Aug 12th at 12:00am
SPORTING CHANCE By Joaquin M. Henson

Manny Pacquiao, the only fighter in history to win eight world titles in different divisions, raised his right arm upward and showed no discomfort in appearing to have fully recovered from a torn rotator cuff suffered during his fight against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas last May.

“No problem,” said Pacquiao displaying full vertical extension on his arm during a break at the 2019 FIBA World Cup bidding event in Tokyo last Friday. “I’m fine. It’s God’s work. I never saw a doctor. I never did rehab. All I did was to swim in the sea as often as I could. The salt water healed my wound.”

Regarding Pacquiao’s arm, Arum was quoted as remarking that the recovery is unbelievable. Apparently, Pacquiao has sent images of extending his arm to Arum who in turn showed them to doctors. Arum said the doctors were amazed at the recovery. Pacquiao just never ceases to amaze.

Word is Bernard Hopkins vs Arthur Abraham is close, this will give Bhop the chance to win a title in a third division (168) and retire on a high note. I think Bhop can pull it off.

He had an injury that much is certain the severity has probably been exaggerated, i.e that's not why he lost the fight at all, just a little low grade tear.

Im surprised at how many fights Abraham has had since the Super Six where he really got exposed, just looked it up. I feel like he totally fell off the radar and i didnt recognize the name of 1 opponent hes fought in like his last 7 fights so that probably why i thought he damn near quit fighting. Even more surprised he has a belt, the fuck lol? B-Hop can definitely dominate him as long as he doesnt injure himself since hes old as dirt its an easy thing to do

Yes he is! Too many signs, too many hints in the books. I mean that quote in my sig from Melisandre says it all, she was wrong believing it was Stannis, she misread her visions. She was talking about Jon Snow, noticed the capital S in Snow. She was talking about him, thinking she keeps asking god to see visions of Azor but he keeps showing her Jon Snow's face. She was frustrated in the book about her visions, keeps showing her damn Jon Snow stupid bitch lol She didn't realize he was showing her Azor! She also says she's way more powerful at the wall. She can do things she never could before. Like perhaps bring back the dead!

Just the TV GOT thread.

Jon Snow is dead, yes, the boy is gone. But the man Jon STARK will rise!

He should have killed that little bitch ass nigga (little homie who set him up) and would become a man by doing so.

He's dead. His whole line, except for his cousin Arya deserve their fates. His Uncle was too noble, his aunt too noble, his cousins too noble. And yeah those are his cousins Ned ain't his pops, he'll no. The only sick ones associated with him are Arya and his fuckin dire wolf. Everyone else (not including Rickon and Bran)deserve the sword.

I'm pulling for the White Walkers. Snow is dead. Stannis did some fuck shit and I despise the Boltons. The mother of dragons is cool but that's a whole different topic.

White walkers for the win!

Jon Snow is Azor Ahai. It was no typo in the book because she was talking about Jon Snow, and then said "I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R’hllor shows me only Snow" so it was Jon Snow she was referring to since that was the context.

She also said this to Jon "This is my place as it is yours, and soon enough you may have grave need of meThis is my place as it is yours, and soon enough you may have grave need of me. Do not refuse my friendship, Jon. I have seen you in the storm, hard- pressed, with enemies on every side. You have so many enemies. Shall I tell you their names?."

She's essentially saying she knows, she saw in her visions, Jon getting iced and that he's gonna need her to bring him back.

We know Jon is most certainly that of Targaryen and Stark blood. Being the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. That is ICE and FIRE, the name of the god damn books lol.

With that and Mel knowing there is something very special about Jon, but she misinterpreted her visions and thought Stannis was Azor, it has to be him. And if he isn't Azor, he'll at least still be Stark/Targaryen and brought back to life by Melly Mel. He's going to come back and fuck shit up just watch!

Bryant Jennings on Why He Turned Down Luis Ortiz

Posted by: Victor Salazar on 8/21/2015 .

By Victor Salazar

Prudential Center, Newark, NJ - Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (19-1, 10 KO’s) was last seen in the ring giving the heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko, one of his tougher fights in recent memory this past April in New York at Madison Square Garden. Jennings has been idle since then.

He was rumored to be in negotiations for a fight against heavyweight Luis Ortiz on the undercard of the October 17th HBO Pay-Per-View between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux. But Jennings turned the fight down.

“It didn’t meet my requirements,” Jennings told BoxingScene.com at the Antonio Tarver-Steve Cunningham fight in Newark. “There are a lot of fights that are put in front of us that aren’t made. I’m not ducking him, it just didn’t meet my requirements.”

Jennings-Ortiz would have probably been tabbed as the third fight on the pay-per-view bill with Roman Gonzalez and Brian Viloria being the co-main event but says talks never got that far.

“I don’t even know what place that was going to be at,” Jennings said. “It didn’t get that far. They offered Ortiz and I was like ‘what they talking? Oh never mind. I’m a warrior but it wasn’t a good offer.’”

Jennings has recently added head trainer John David Jackson and was on hand at to watch another Philly heavyweight Steve Cunningham. Jennings feels the two could get in the ring but certain circumstances have to be correct.

“We both know, we both talked about it but we both know what it would take to get us in the ring,” explained Jennings. “It’d have to be like world title circumstances or the pay has to be worth it to fight. We’d fight for real. We’d shake hands before and after the fight but it’d be a real fight.”

Jennings doesn’t like to talk about proposed fights until they are in the negotiations stages. He feels if it’s not on paper, why waste time talking about it.

“We not going to entertain that,” Jennings said. “That’s instigation. Let’s get there before we start talking about. You not going to get me like that. I have a team and you can contact them on the situation. I have no problem with fighting everybody it don’t matter.”
