Rapper T.I. took a swing at Floyd Mayweather Jr. and it caused a chair-tossing brawl in the Fatburger on the Vegas Strip early Sunday morning ... TMZ has learned ...

According to several witnesses ... Floyd was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked up and started jawing at Floyd.

It's unclear what caused the beef, but we're told T.I. swung at Floyd ... their giant bodyguards jumped in to separate them ... and then the all out melee began.

At one point you hear Floyd telling at T.I., "control your bitch."

Vegas PD arrived just as Floyd was leaving and we're told T.I. was already gone.
Police confirm a Fatburger employee was slashed and suffered a minor injury during the fight, but he refused treatment and did not want to cooperate with investigating officers. In other words ... no snitching.

A rep for T.I. had no comment about the fight.

I'm not too sure what they're doing with Zewski to be honest. He's shown promise but the best fighter they've thrown him in there with is Damian Frias, now they're going to throw him in there with a guy coming off 2 loses including 1st round stoppage loss (granted that was a somewhat bad stop by the referee). He doesn't have to fight killers but there's better competition out there at 147

I've been saying that for a minute fam. They are going to ruin him big time if they keep doing this shit. I've watched him fight since like his 4th or 5th fight and saw the potential. He has what it takes to get to the top but you have to be tested with competition. I said this was gonna happen.

NEW BOXING SERIES COMING SOON TO CBS SPORTS NETWORK?
By Ben Thompson | May 27, 2014
NEW BOXING SERIES COMING SOON TO CBS SPORTS NETWORK?

Sources close to the situation have informed us that CBS Corporation is currently finalizing plans for their own boxing series to be aired on CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour network home of CBS Sports. Although details are still unclear at this point, we're told that the network is planning 26 telecasts, the same amount as the current season of ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Furthermore, we're told that those telecasts will likely take place on Monday and Thursday nights, which would likely put them in direct competition with the Golden Boy Live! series on Fox Sports 1.

According to one source, Iron Mike Productions is one of several promotional companies that are already on board with the series. Given Al Haymon's seemingly close working relationship with CBS, one should not be surprised to see several of his fighters making an apperance on the network as well. While FightHype was unable to get anyone to speak officially on the record, our understanding is that organizers were originally targeting July 17 as the kick-off date, but for whatever reason, those plans could be placed on hold until the start of 2015.

Abner Mares vs. Jonathan Oquendo on July 12th at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada

The highly anticipated return of A @aBnEr mares00 is finally happening! He faces Jonathan Oquendo July 12 on #CaneloLara pic.twitter.com/udidQKjLCK

— GoldenBoyPromotions ( G @Golden BoyBoxing) May 28, 2014

By Dan Ambrose: Former three division world champion Abner Mares (25-1-1, 14 KO’s) will be returning to the ring on July 12th in a tuneup bout against Jonathan Oquendo (24-3m 16 KO’s) on the undercard of the Erislandy Lara vs. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez pay-per-view card on Showtime from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mares, 28, hasn’t fought since being stopped in the 1st round by Jhonny Gonzalez last August in Carson, California.

With the way that Mares was quickly moving up from one division after another without spending much time in each division, it was only a matter of time before he took too big of a step and got knocked out. That time happened when he moved up to the featherweight division and rushed into a fight against Gonzalez after having fought only once previously in the weight class against former former super bantamweight Daniel Ponce De Leon. Mares was totally destroyed by Gonzalez in a way that suggests that the same thing would happen if they were to fight again. Gonzalez was just too quick and too powerful for Mares.

Mares needs to make up his mind if he wants to get back in the ring with Gonzalez, because it might not be too good of an idea. Gonzalez seems to have Mares’ number, and I think he’ll knock him out again if they fight next year.

Oquendo shouldn’t give Mares too much problems unless the punches that Gonzalez landed on Mares somehow reduced his punch resistance. Oquendo was stopped in the 7th round two years ago by Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in 2012. Since then, Oquendo has won his last two fights in beating Miguel Tamayo and Guillermo Avila. Oquendo has respectable power, so Mares is going to need to be careful because if this guy connects with something big, Mares will need to be scooped up off the canvas the same way he was in the Gonzalez fight. Oquendo can do damage if you stand in front of him, and I suspect that Mares will choose to slug with him because that’s pretty much the only way he knows how to fight.

Roach wants Pacquiao-Canelo at 150 lb. catch-weight

Pacquiao Canelo Pacquiao vs. Canelo saul alvarez manny pacquiao freddie roach By Chris Williams: It looks like Manny Pacquiao’s days of fighting at catch-weights aren’t quite through yet, as his trainer Freddie Roach is talking about wanting a catch-weight of 150 lbs. for a fight between Pacquiao and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in 2015. Roach wants Canelo to melt down from 154 to 150 in order to give Pacquiao a handicap for the fight even though Canelo isn’t making 154 anymore.

Canelo had the weight raised to 155 for his fight against Alfredo Angulo last March, and now Canelo is fighting WBA junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara at 155 for their fight on July 12th. It’s pretty clear that the 23-year-old Canelo’s days of making 154 are probably behind him, and it’s unthinkable to imagine Canelo getting down to 150 in order to accommodate Pacquiao with a weight handicap so that he can be competitive.

“At the right weight, we’ll [Pacquiao] fight him,” Roach said to the Boxing Channel. “I think the biggest he [Pacquiao] can fight is 150…I know [Canelo] came down to 152 for Mayweather…He’s a much bigger guy than Manny. If we can get a catch-weight that is fair to both of them, I think it would be a good fight.”

I had a feeling that Roach would come out of the woodwork sooner or later with the catch-weight handicap business, and no I don’t see it as fair for Canelo or for any fighter to have to drain themselves in order to fight a guy that doesn’t fight in their weight class. The welterweight division is only 7 pounds lighter than the 154 lb. division so it’s not as if Pacquiao needs Canelo to drain down to meet him halfway. If Pacquiao wants to fight a junior middleweight, then he should be willing to fight at the full weight limit for the junior middleweight division instead of having a catch-weight handicap working the fight.

The thing with the catch-weight is that Canelo will likely be so weak that he’ll lose the fight just from the loss of weight making him too weak to fight properly.

I would be surprised if Canelo agrees to any kind of catch-weight for a Pacquiao fight. He needs to see what happened to the fighters that have dropped weight in order to fight Pacquiao in the past. They’ve always lost and they’ve always looked weak. Canelo is a star on the rise and he hardly needs to be caving in to pressure from Pacquiao’s team in the future to give him a handicap for a fight

In staying with calling it down the middle we have to discuss Canelo's history of agreeing to catchweight fights.

Roach never said he wanted Canelo at a 150 catchweight. What he said is that the heaviest Manny could get is 150 and "If we can get a catch-weight that is fair to both of them, I think it would be a good fight.” So Chris Williams needs to get his shit straight instead of fabricating shit.

But on the flipside, it is clear as day that Manny doesn't want it with Floyd, most likely never really did and is using Floyd and his accomplishments to help promote his fights and business. My thing is this, you're at the end of the contract with Bob, you talk bad about Floyd but the very next day (literally) you resign with Arum. At the end of the day you could have been your own boss like Floyd after your bout with him (assuming you had to sign with TMT) but you chose instead to be someones hoe. A million dollar hoe, yes, but still a hoe.

Hoes gotta eat too.

So you expected Pac to sign with TMT? lol would have been the worst business move ever being that Mayweather doesn't even have a promoters license. Floyd his own boss is kind of a myth, he has a team of people that in his own words "decide what's best for him" (Al Haymon, Leonard Ellerbe, Richard Schaefer, etc).

Canelo is a riskier fight for Pacquiao he's too small.

Anyways, in real news Golovkin vs Geale is a go, HBO July 26th. Only took Geale two years.

Listen bro, the best move for him could have been signing with TMT. Arum or Floyd. Pick your poison. Slave under Arum or fight under Floyd (or Haymon) for a bit. No, Floyd being his own boss is not a myth. If he says I will wrap it up, no more boxing, that is it. They decide "what is best for him" is a myth. HE decides what is best for him. Pac? Nope. First God is deciding, then his moms, then his wife, then Roach, then the fans, then talk to my manager. It's always some other shit.

And I'm not saying Pac is the catchweight king and all that other shit, which may or may not be true depending on how you look at it, and why I said the article is bullshit (no disrespect to you Heyzel, it's the writers bias.)

Golovokin Geale is a go? Two years ago he would have been crushed. July 26th will have the same outcome.

Riskier as in getting KO'd because of the size difference. If Pac and Floyd fought it would be at 147 and it would likely go 12 full rounds. Pacquiao vs Canelo however would be at junior middleweight, so the power/weight is a risk, absolutely.

How is Geale a bum??
