Success

E-40, millionaire trend setter, well known and well respected in the industry, in his 40's and still a factor, can retire off rap money.

Master P blew up will never have to work another day in his life if he doesn't want to.

Mac Dre was loved by pretty much the entire area and made a living doing what he loved.

Fails

Numbskull could of been a star and made the Luni's bigger then what they were but fell off hella hard.

Rapping 4 Tay turned into a crack addict

San Quinn devoted his life to rap but his career never seemed to take off.

MC Hammer: Most successful rapper out Oakland ever, went bankrupt but is still living good, I'd call him an overall success.

Spice 1: Was fairly big back in the 90's and it seems like he's still living off his old rap money but I'm not sure. It did say he got shot while sleeping in a car in front of his parents house lol Maybe he's a fail its hard to tell.

Darkroom Familia / Sir Dyno: Released about 100 cd's and movies, Dyno went to prison and became a nun lol. I seen pictures of Never and he looks like an obese old mexican dude. All recent attempts at music have sucked. Fail

P filed for bankruptcy to avoid lawsuits from previous no limit soldiers. He still got bread. Don't know how he convinced each person on his label in the 90s to give him 100% publishing.
But u r right he is not a bay area rapper. He came to the bay and soaked game and took the game he learned back to new orleans and the rest is history.

He fell asleep smoking weed in the truck. Someone tried to jack him. He was not homeless or broke.

P "rebranded" No Limit Records as The New No Limit Records in 2001 and again in 2003. He didn't necessarily go bankrupt until 2007 I think. I could be wrong. The artist on that label were not business navy and smart. That's why P has the rights to everything along with 20+ unreleased albums.

San Quinn devoted his life to rap but his career never seemed to take off.
San Quinn does have a cult following. So it might not be a failure to his point of view.

S @SpongeTodd Please explain. He has been doing quite well for himself along with Too $hort for past 3 years even if Jive Records has been bitchmade for the past 15-25 years.

Master P himself never filed for bankruptcy. No Limit Records as a company filed for bankruptcy.

Master P is still worth 350 million in 2013.

Master P has done the same thing Donald Trump has done for decades, when a business starts to fold then file for bankruptcy under the business it self. Donald Trump has had 5 massive businesses including casino resorts file for bankruptcy but he still has a personal worth of over 3 billion dollars lol
