I would still go with Deion. Speed Kills and Deion definitely had that on lock. Woodson was a great tackler because he had to be. In my opinion, a CB shouldn't be making many tackles anyhow because his job is to not let a receiver catch the ball in the first place.
He played CB and SS. Deion had plenty of opportunities to tackle in his time as a CB too, even though he was a shut down corner. Rod would run up and lay the wood on a RB. Deion would never do that. If I'm building a team, that means more to me. I looked this up at work one day because a dude was saying the same thing as you. If you look at the amount of times they had passes thrown to the guy they were covering, then the amount of tackles and forced fumbles, there's no contest. Deion had more picks, but overall I think Woodson was a better DB. Deion was legit on special teams though, no doubt

Bernard Hopkins - 100% dedicated to his sport even out of camp, has always been known to not drink, smoke, do drugs and always keeps a clean diet just so he can be a machine even at 48 years old.

Bo Jackson - Played at top level of 2 sports. Could have been one of the best RB of all time and one of the best hitters in baseball of all time if he didn't get hurt so bad. Still made a pretty good come back to baseball after hip replacement surgery.

Rickey Henderson - Favorite baseball player of all time. Great 24 year career, played in 4 different decades.

Let me add to why Hopkins should be respected by everyone:

-Age of 15 saw his brother murdered
-Age of 16 stabbed twice in stomach and back
-Age of 17 sentenced as an adult to 28 years in prison.
While in prison, joins boxing program, becomes amatuer inmate champ.
-Released after serving 5 years in prison.
-1988, fresh out of prison, loses his pro debut. Takes two years off, dedicates himself to learning his craft, wins next 22 fights in a row.
-Loses to a more experienced Roy Jones in 1993, then goes the next 12 years undefeated setting MW record with 20 title defenses, doesn't lose until he hit 40 years of age, which were highly desputed losses to Taylor.
-At age 41, coming off back to back losses, moves up two weight classes and defeats the true light heavyweight champion in Tarver, who was coming off victories over Roy Jones and Glen Johnson.
-At age 46, becomes oldest champion in the history of the sport surpassing George Foreman's record of 45.
-At age 48 breaks his own record becoming champ once again after beating Tavoris Cloud.

Additionally:
-Lives clean lifestyle
-Extremely dedicated.
-SAVES his money. Never will you see him flaunting cash, wearing expensive jewelry, cars, etc.
-Managed himself most of his career; fought against the system despite losing out on paydays as a result.
-After beating Oscar, he didn't sign with Golden Boy, he became a partner in the company.
-One of the only active fighters that testified in Congress supporting the Muhammad Ali Act, which is essentially something that protects the workers (fighters) providing them with rights. Many fighters were scared and threatened not to support it in fear of backlash from "the powers that be" in boxing but Hopkins stood up for what he believed in.
-Never talks about his religion or tries to promote it (he's Muslim ).
-Has been married with the same woman for over 20 years, whom you will almost never see (keeps his family life very private).
-Invests in his community and donates generously to charities without public knowledge

Kirby Puckett, Cecil/Prince Fielder, Fernando Valenzuela, David Wells, Bartolo Colon, CC Sabathia, and Mo Vaughn...

They proved that you can be a whale and very successful in professional sports.
you left out a grip of offensive/defensive lineman in the NFL then too

He's been in DUB magazine more than once to my knowledge showing off his Bentley and he has talked about being Muslim and the sect of Muslim in interviews as well because he was bragging about how he's not soft like a Christian, but he's proud to be the most extreme type of muslim there is or something that that extent. I can't remember which one he is off hand

It's extremely rare Hopkins talks about his religion, only if he's asked specific questions. You don't see him in the ring and say first off let me thank god/Allah etc.

It is rare, but you said he never talks about it. He wasn't outright asked about it in the interview I had read. I honestly can't even remember which magazine that was in either. It was before the losses to Taylor.

OJ Simpson - Dope ass Running Back, got away with murder.
Kurt Warner - True Champion, Safeway bagger
Tim tebow - NCAA legend on/off the field
Muhammad Ali - Loudmouth, could back it up with speed and power.
Derrick Rose - I met him, and he talked to me about things other than NBA basketball, actually asked me questions instead of me asking him questions.

Brett Hart - Overcame abuse and adversity. One of my favorite wrestlers ever.
Tiger Woods - No explanation should be necessary.

LaDanian Tomlinson - another classy guy who was one of the best of his time.
Jackie Robinson - No explanation necessary
Emmitt Smith - NFL leading rusher, my favorite RB of all-time.
Wayne Gretzky - because of him I know what Hockey is.

Rarely or never who cares which one. Early in his career he used to say Thanks to allah and shit like that but he stopped many many years ago. Google Benard Hopkins Muslim and you'll fine like one article from a decade ago or more.

Tim Duncan man... like the least fame seeking dude I can think of in the world of sports that is one of the greatest ever. Definitely best PF to me, definitely no way he's in the discussion as best Center ever but he has still had an incredible career.

LT was the dude, straight up. Great career.

Jackie, but I actually forgot to write Koufax on here. Dude was one of the most dominant pitchers ever while he was on.

I've dissed Emmitt over the years because he gets compared to Barry Sanders a lot who is my favorite player ever but Emmitt did his thing.

Gretzky was obviously the man
