blu-ray players are averagin around $400, with some price declines coming up for the holidays and probably newer models.

becuase only so many pixels can fit on a screen and are viewable by the naked eye. if you can watch a 40 inch tv and it can only display like a million pixels but the game can display more. then you would have to get a bigger tv with more pixels in the actual screen to be able to see the difference.

its basically like a model car, it looks good from far but the closer you get (aka bigger the tv) the more detail you could see.
All 1080P TVs have the same amount of pixels @ 2.07million.

they have the same resolution yeah. say if they had 20 million pixels per game in 1080p youd be able to see all those pixels (or tell the difference) on a bigger tv say 52" inch compared to a 26" inch tv. once the tv gets small the amount of pixels and the visiability to the naked eye is almost non-existance. aka 1080p is only noticeable on tvs over 42+ inches.

Yes, visually 1080P is negligible vs 720P 40" and below, but your reasoning is WAY off. You can't display "20 million pixels" on a 1080P TV no matter if it's 37" or 96". A 1080P TV has the ability to display up to 2,073,600 pixels because that is the exact amount that it has. Your whole statement contradicts itself because resolution equals pixels.
