0R0 @0R0 , is tumblr a good outlet for music? i'm pretty unfamiliar with it unless i want to snag gifs.
i'd say its good to keep ppl up to date on your releases, like you can have a "downloads" tag link on your front page so its pretty easy to get everything in it

idk if its really good to get new listeners tho, it seems to be mostly ppl who are established outside of the site with the most followers, with a few exceptions like robb banks

and a word of advice: you can be honing your craft while you still make beats for others. The worst critic of your own music will always be yourself.....unless you're a conceited arrogant fuck, which happens to be at least 75% of all rappers....lol

one thing i notice in myself that i have trouble noticing in many local acts is that i continue to challenge myself. i never put myself on a local level. it seems conceited; however, my aim is to compete with those who inspire me, which is a lot of the top dogs of today's mainstream. i am admittedly pretty arrogant with my beats, so i'm not one to work with anybody just to establish myself. if i can pick an artist's brain, i'm with it. if not, i'm not forcing tracks just to say i exist.
