ok, the quest "i put a spell on you"

i am stuck..i must have done something because the guy is in the control tower and the first time i went in i heard him talking to the radio but interuppted and killed him. i reloaded the save and everytime i go in he isnt talking now. what do i do? any tips? i searched and i guess he has some plot for the monorail..i went to it and cant go in with out traveling to the strip
This was all I could find on the Fallout wiki:

While investigating the late-night break-ins, the game does not allow you to eavesdrop the conversation and the spy will eventually discover you. A possible workaround for this situation is to make a save outside the radio tower after the spy enters it - if you hear the conversation when you go in, the quest can continue normally. However, the conversation will stop every time the spy has to give a reply. There are two ways to fix this. Firstly, you can pause the game every time the spy has to reply to continue the conversation. If this does not work, you must pickpocket one item from him for every reply. It's best to take weightless items, such as his the 2 codes and 9 9mm cases he is carrying, which can be taken with a Stealth skill of 20. Each item you take will result in the conversation advancing.

So basically just reload the save and hope he start talking. And if he does, but only replies once then you'll have to pause the game or pickpocket him.

Unless you're playing on hardcore mode your companions don't die, they just get knocked out for a few seconds. And if you have the newest patch installed, you can see the location of your companions on the local map. So you should maybe go back to where he was knocked out and check the local map to see if he's around there somewhere.

i enjoyed the fuck out of it.

ONLY thing that grinds my gears is the freezing. someone told me all the dead bodies adds to the save file size and there is a way to wipe them all out..is there and is there any consequences?

I had a problem with that quest, you have to wait hidden outside. I hid over behind the plane i think until the guy mobbed out, then creeped in behind him. Prob a good idea to save before he gets there while your hidden just incase something goes wrong.

it tells you when it ends and the game ask you if want to continue before you do the last quest...so you can just save then do the quest and then when you're done with the quest just load up the saved file right before and you're straight.

They will likley release dlc that raises the level cap and extends the game beyond the original ending, just like brotherhood of steel did with fallout 3.

The Dead Money add-on increases your cap level by 5.

And you can't really compare this to RDR. They're both open world, but Fallout has more RPG elements than RDR, which was action/shooter. I like both of them but you're not gonna feel like you're playing Red Dead when you play Fallout.

I don't think clearing the cache wipes out all the dead bodies, but that might be what you're referring to. Hold down L1 L2 R1 and R2 from the time it tells you the game saves to the HDD until the title screen. If you do it right the Press Start icon will flash on the screen once and then stay blank until you let go of all the buttons. I don't think it decreases your file size but I may be wrong. And it seemed to me that when I clear my cache the game gets really laggy and glitchy but if I restart it everything goes back to normal.

i put it like this

if your looking for open world 3rd person only action with multiplayer..hit red dead OR possible assassins creed if your up on the story

if you want a game that will be WAY worth the admission price and then some and have hours upon hours to spend gaming, definitly get either fallout 3 or vegas. dope games worth every penny. switch between 1st and 3rd person depending on your liking is cool.

ALSO- am I able to go back and explore once I leave an area or town?

Is the exploring similar to red dead redemption? Haven’t even stepped out of dudes house in goodsprings yet..
