can anyone help me out, im still having the same problem. i tryed a few tips on different fourms and nothing happened. when i open my computer up my external HD (F:\) isnt even listed anymore there is just a blank spot of where it used to be. i tryed to see if the F: drive was listed in the device manager but its not. i was going to do a system restore and this is the message i get "changes made to the F:\(drives) after this point cannot be reversed because the drive was either excluded from system restore monitoring , or was turned off or removed." wtf can i do?

Been having some malware/trojan issue lately...Seems that when i scan using Avast, Spybot, or even Malwayrebytes i cant seem to totally remedy the situation so im asking if anybody can take a look @ this log file i got from running hijack this and possibly give me some insights as to what my problem(s) are?!..........oh yea and for some reason i cant seem to get into safe mode. When i try it just restarts the comp and takes me to a "sorry for the inconvenience" page or something of the sort..

Stay away from Seagate Hard drives.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB Drives Biting The Dust

In the wake of freezing issues with Seagate's 1.5TB drives comes yet another problem with the Barracuda 7200.11 series. Failure rates of the 1TB drives in particular are abnormally high, but Seagate has not acknowledged the problem.

Now 11 pages long, the "official" problem discussion thread on the Seagate support forums is full of users reporting problems with the ST31000340AS, the 1TB Barracuda 7200.11 drive.

One user built a 6TB RAID array three months ago. In two months, one of the drives failed. A second drive failed about a month later, and a third eight days after that. Another user had four out of five of their drives fail within 12 days of purchase. Reports of failures can also be found on other forums as well. Some data recovery and RMA centers have reported failure rates of approximately 30 to 40 percent, but Seagate has not released any official information.

The issue lies with faulty microcode in firmware version SD15, found on drives manufactured in Thailand. Generally, the drive will operate normally until the time of failure and at some point will lock up and prevent detection by the BIOS, rendering it completely unusable.

While Seagate has not publicly acknowledged the problem as of yet, they have reportedly updated the firmware on all newly manufactured drives, however the firmware cannot be update on drives that have already failed because the BIOS does not even detect them. This means that owners of affected drives require data recovery services to save their critical data.

No recall on unsold drives with the affected firmware has been issued.

okay someone fucking help me. my computer is usually tip top shape but the last 2 months ive had someone else on my computer and shit has just gotten ridiculous.

basically, my shit just freezes the fuck up- especially when running youtube, multiple windows, or siccness. ive checked the processes and the registries and noticed firefox makes that shit top out at 100%, especially when images are loaded. ill quit all uneccessary programs and shit...and firefox will STILL make that shit freeze up.

my question is, is that a memory issue? and also i havent ran spyware-malware-virus check etc etc shit on here in ages. never needed to, until maybe now.

if anyone can get my computer to stop fucking freezing every 30 minutes without me going to frys and spending chips i would be forever grateful, k thanks.

ive been way too lazy to deal with this shit but as of now enough is enough....
