Zeitgeist, The Movie: "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (The Bible)

No, I've been doing this intership one of my CJ teachers got me hooked up in. And because things are becoming more hectic you guys won't be seeing me for a bit. In fact, this is my lost post for some months, so hopefully you all can take a deep breath and relax.

OMG, I watched the first 5 minutes of this video and given what I already know off the top of my head about Egypt, this video has to be pure crap, but I of course can't give a final assessment until I've viewed the entire thing, however, I will address a few claims made early in the video...
Basically, this distorts history in order for it to coincide with their preconceived thesis.
1. The deity of Horus is depicted in several ways, the Falcon being the most common(not the Sun, which was reserved for Amun_Ra), although he was revered as a Sun God, the video is misleading and selective in that this wasn't his primary form.. Actually, in Mdu Ntr (ancient Egyptian), Horus/Heru literally translates to "Falcon"..
2. Seth indeed was depicted as an evil, deceitful God, but never was he associated with "the night" or "the moon", nor did he battle Horus over supremacy of the sky(night and day), which is extremely misleading on their part and rather deceptive. Seth was most commonly associated with the red desert regions actually and was the brother of Osiris..
3. Horus was not the subject of a resurrection as is claimed falsely in the documentary, that honor goes to his father Osiris actually who was killed by Seth and resurrected by Isis, after being chopped up into countless pieces and put back together. Horus then proceeded to battle Seth to avenge his father and came out victorious.
4. All of that bullshit about him being referred to as the lamb of God, the good shepherd, etc, having 12 disciples, and his mother Isis having the surname or alternative name "Mary", is some of the most ridiculous shit that I've ever heard in my entire life, un-fucking-believable.
^I may comment more as I continue to watch the film I guess, but it should be apparent that this is pseudo-historical propaganda, and I say this with confidence even after only watching the first 5 minutes as the entire 5 minutes was total revisionist B.S... Anyone buying into this shit is either completely ignorant of ancient history or just biased and desperate..

anyone who cares what Wikipedia says is a moron, point blank. End of story. It always cracks me up when people cite Wikipedia in trying to make a point on anything whatsoever.
Also, if you take the time to check the actual web page http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ you will see that they, unlike many documentary filmmakers, have taken the time to correct any misinformation in the movie and admit their mistakes in citing that information. That tells you they care about the information they provide down to the last detail.
They also take the time to cite all of their sources, unlike many others.
Moreover, I found this film to be extremely well put together and enlightening. People are scared to face alot of the facts pointed out in this film. It all comes down to fear and ignorance. Fear drives people in the opposite direction, focuses their attention on the minor things in life instead of the truth that surrounds them. Ignorance is bliss. If you pretend something isn't happening for long enough, it isn't happening in your little world, and therefore you're going to turn your head to anybody who tries to point out what is going on.
This film made points alot easier to comprehend than many similar films before it. If you have an open mind and consider yourself willing to take control of your life, you may actually be able to digest what's going on around you and do something about it. If your eyes were closed from the start, you're going to think you're above anything in this film, and you're going to convince yourself the film is garbage and cast it off as such.
I really couldn't care less what anybody else's views on this project are. I know where my viewpoint stands, and I have done plenty of research on my own to back up my views and beliefs. It's up to everybody else to do something on their end, or go with the flow and let the decisions be made for you.

AND Christianity has many characteristics of pigeon religion that no one would like to touch upon... epically the Roman Catholic Church!!!
And there is no dispute that there are character in history, that have similar background as Jesus...
Have you ever actually compared the list that shows Ancient Egypt religious similarities, vs. Christianity?
and a lot of the bible was said to happen in or around Egypt? so how can you not phantom that some of there myths made it into there modern day religions?

For two, there are entries in Wikipedia that are written by college professors from Cambridge Harvard, Yale,etc. with PHD and Masters in those studies.
