Someone mentioned that it would be like Snoop signing to No Limit. But what happened after that? He blew up. Now he's C Walking on TRL. You know?? Yuk got spits, everybody know that. Just listen to United Ghettos...If Yuk did sign with Cash Money, its nothing but positive. Its a chance for him to shine and take the bay along with him. Whats so bad about turning on BEt and seeing AJ and Free introduce the latest Yukvideo...and have it backed up by Cash Money.

^^ima have to agree on this one, Sounds like a good move to me...more exposure is what the bay needs, and just cause he sign with Cash Money dont mean he aint gonna rep for the bay still (if this shit is actually true)...if anything, this move would help the bay out.

And this shouldnt be compared with Snoop and No Limit, cause snoop was on his down fall, and we all know yuks at the top of his game right now....shit would be interesting tho.
word, Yuk is my favorite artist so i respect what he does if it's good for he's career and i think Yuk stays true.

yal tripping..this is perfect for yuk..... not too mention Cash Money got talent on they roster....this is what cash money needs to up the rest of they roster lyricaly...Lil wayne is already being molded into a good lyricist, this is his chance now to have lyrical competetion on his label....

This is good news. If they play Yuk on the radio half as often as they play other CMR music, it will be sweet...

of course someone would quote a horrible quote like rappers dont spit filler, but yet and still he has a dope internal rhyme scheme...if kool g rap spit it you wouldnt be tripping...but notice the rhyme scheme...

besides, his album LIGHTS OUT is a good example of wayne flexing his potential as well as his mixtapes he did with the SQAD....

"You liable to catch me speedin' up the six,
or beatin' up a chick
or standin' over a stove,
sweatin', heatin' up a brick
And we keep the hustlin' slick,
and got clips like bananas
We twist the bandanas,
and spit at niggas with cannons
We ran in habitats
with masks and plastic gats
Stormin' through the house,
screamin', "Where's this bastard's crack?!!"

BEEF -Lil Wayne

stop listenign to the radio and buy albums...

the rhyme pattern is aiight, but that still dont make him no lyricist. He's rhyming words like chick, stick, and brick. Plus that verse doesnt really have a meaning to it. Believe me, the last thing i would do is buy a LiL Wayne album. I'm not hating, this is my opinion.

I could give a fuck bout who yuk signs to, his shit aint that tight to me in the first place, but the shit that really cracks me up is this cat claimin that lil wayne is a "good lyricist"... that nigga goo-goo-gaa-gaa ass rhymes is fuckin offensive to anybody that got more than a 3rd grade education.

Maybe you should stop listening to lil wayne & READ A BOOK.

i read many books nigga...thats why im a open minded cat who looks at skills rather than what the general populace feels...if you aint see the complex rhyme structures this cat has then you have no idea what it takes in becoming a lyricist... besides, i aid hes bing molded into a Good lyricist....as in hes almost there..i never said he wasa good lyricist, just his work on the albums i mentioned are proof of what he is capable of....

and to 5ive1en le tme break it down for you
hes not rhyming just sick and chick...

peep

"You liable to catch me speed-in'-up-the-six,
or beat-in'-up-a-chick or standin' over a stove,
sweatin', heatin'-up-a-brick
And we keep-the-hustl-in'-slick,
and got clipslike ba-na-nas
We twist-the-ban-da-nas,

thats a 4 syllable rhyme scheme...his rhyme patterns are complex that a fact not opinion....rhyme patterns altho not as imporant as content is very important to lyricists...as for his content yeah its nothing new, but he shows alot of potential.......

Ay you right man.. Cats like different shit & if you find something meaningful or innovative about the lyrics of lil wayne then thats cool.

As far as his rhyme patterns, that shit is nothing that every other muthafucka is doing, and while using more complex composition, giving depth to their shit ("ayo" by quinn or "dowutigottado" by equipto come to mind). Lil wayne "in my opinion" lacks any substance with the words he chooses to string along. It sounds like he been hearing that cook-a-brick shit his whole life but has no way of coming up with any unique way of twistin it. Shit just sounds second-rate and empty.

I shouldn't have told you to read a book, that was stupid, and I don't give a fuck bout what the general populace likes. In my opinion the "pop" music they like is some vapid bullshit.

your right....you gotta think tho..hes in NEw Orleans, not exactly a place that breeds lyricists..plus he young as hell.....

anyways, like i said...hes on the right track of ebcoming a GOOD LYRICIST...nothign new or innovative about it..i just see the potential in him..and i think yuk being on the label might help him get better....its not like hes starting to suck more..hes getting better slowly....thats a good thing...

besides, i try not to hate on anybody....especially since i got my eyes on being on top of the stairs (Skee Lo allusion heh)

Cash Money seems like they wanna do big thangs for the West cuz first they sign Mack10 and TQ... now supposedly Yuk. I think new Yuk and TQ track would be off the hook cuz TQ started doin tracks wit bay niggas like RBL. And the old Yuk, Lurch, and TQ song is tight off that MIke Mosley compilation. Let's hope this "rumor" is true.

yall niggas is trippin! that shit sounds like a good ass move signing to cash money. remember what MACK 10 said in his interview for showcase magazine.. he said something like.. "priority was falling apart and cash money offered me $2million" .. some shit, about the money. saying how can you turn down 2million dollars and shit. (i aint sure if it was 2 million, but it was some millions.)

that new Mack 10 track "Connected 4 Life" is sick as fuck. i like the beat Mannie supplied...the bass kinda reminds me of "Gangstas Make the World Go Round", so its kinda got an old Westside Connect feeling to it. as long as the tracks Mannie supplies fit to Yuk's style, its cool

FUCK Cash-Money!

I hope this shit aint tru cuz Yuk needs to stay in tha bay.
Peace.
what kind of thought process do u have. Yuk needs to stay in the Bay???? Yuk lives in LA. secondly IF this is true it would bing more exposure to the bay. why are some foolz so afraid to expand their sound and fanbase. Snops move to No Limit saved his career. eveybody knows that. P taught him how to hustle independently and thats when No limit was on fire
