^^^Ma man when's the last hyphy song you've heard come out the Bay? Yall niggas need to quit bringing hyphy into every fucking conversation about Bay rap. It's holding us back and we are much more than that.
I see, but what is that ish in your sig then? To me that's Hyphy. Maybe not Hyphy sounding per se, but when I say Hyphy, I'm basically saying bubblegum Rap. The Hyphy word itself just sounds silly, so I'm going to keep using the word Hyphy to explain myself whenever I hear stuff like that coming from the Bay. The shirts in that video, the typical beat, the finger fucking snaps, it's all Hyphy to me. I'm sorry, but that shit just don't compare sound wise and culturally to shit that came out of the Bay in the 90's. The vibe is totally different and it basically resembles that of stuff coming from the South. WTF ever happened to that true WestCoast vibe?!?!?! I don't feel like a Californian when I hear that song in your sig or atleast I don't feel proud since that style doesn't rep Cali. Man, Cali peeps and others just need to stop jocking the South, that's the problem. Sure their on MTV/BET, but fuck that shit. Their the ones that killed it. The West and not even the East put out as much garbage as the South has.

Shit, listen to San Diego's own, Ecay Uno's Mental Scars album. That's on some REAL shit and it ain't that old of an album, so it shows peeps can still make quality shit with their heart. You can feel it, the beats, the flows, everything. Not like stuff in your sig. I hear the beat, the flow in your sig and I want to immediately turn it off because I just can't feel it. Not trying to clown or anything, but I'm trying to be real. It's obviously my opinion though and we are all intitled to our own.

All this bullshit you just said proves to me that you don't know what hyphy is. I could easily say fuck San Diego and call it a day, because basically what you just said about us is the equivalent. But I'm not going to do that. Normally I would argue and try and make you see how ignorant you sound, but it's really pointless. You are obviously somebody that's never lived it and never seen what the Bay is all about (not just talking about music), therefore you will never know what hyphy is. So because you don't know SHIT about hyphy, it would be wise to keep your mouth shut about it. Speaking on things that you are ignorant about isn't a good look. But do you bruh, keep your narrow minded views I really don't give a damn. I really ain't trying to make this a Daygo vs. Bay Area thang, because we both know that ain't no comparison patna.

By the way, the stuff that was in my SIG is not hyphy, J. Stalin & the Livewire Gang is new age Mobb shit. Proof that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Plus in the 90s the bay didnt really have their own sound they were kinda using the LA shit. I have respect for the bay now doing their own thing, im not feeling it either though.
Are you kidding? The Bay didn't have it's own sound? It is so much ignorance in this forum, and niggas clown me for being young. MOBB MUSIC. Too $hort & E-40's creation. Mobb Music came before G-Funk....LMAO at the Bay using LA's sound u must be tripping.

Im not trying to start shit either but could you please explain to me what Hyphy is? I always has compared it to going dumb, thizzing, or just making a fool out of yourself.
Hyphy is a lifestyle. A way of life. That is what seperates it from Crunk and Snap music. Long after the music is dead, Oakland will be hyphy. Oakland was hyphy before the term was coined. It's just how we live.

I did froget about a few cats like E-40 and a few others, but still majority of the bay was on LA's dick. Thanks for clearing up Hyphy, but I guess a way of life is meaning street life. Not so, i'll jump on ur car when im thizzed out and smash the shit out of it or dance in the middle of the street like a fucking idiot. Last it does not mean im going to make up annoying phrases and slang for little kids to use. Fuck the Bay

This is a bogus and inaccurate statement. The Bay has always had they own sound and especially in the 90's. Im from KC so everybody knows KC and the Bay are like cuzin cities. I mean, who in LA sounded like e-40, The Click, 415, Too Short, AMW, Pooh Man, Spice 1,Totally Insane,11-5,IMP? Nobody!! The Bay always had a different vibe, slang, and sound. Producers like Al Eaton, K-Lou,Khyree( Young Black Brotha0 and Mike Mosley were providing a sound with heavy "basslines" and with funk backdrops. LA was on some Parliment, random samples, or straight up R&B remakes. Dont get me wrong I love the west coast period northern and southern but this statement is wrong.

Bla Bla Bla I did say a few cats like E-40 and a few others sounded different, so why the fuck keep bringing up the same cats. The rest still had the muthafukin egyptian sounding westcoast sound. Fuck even Spice 1's early shit had thjat sound, even the click had the sound. Ya'll wanna have bay pride then carry that gay pride, I dont give a fuck. You guys love the bay I dont give a fuck, Happy New Year

What the fuk you talking bout homey? Bay might be known for thizz and Hyphy.. but that was more recent years. In the 90's, there were hella katz with good muzik out... and not on LA's Dick. You forgot E40, the click, spice 1, mac mall, celly cel, RBL posse.... And you from Seattle, that is where I'm from and I had more bay shit then LA shit. IMO, Bay flooded the game in the 90's. That's why they had so many compilations and features, but alot of that shit was classic.
