very bold statement ur making here. everything is set in stone accept who the pistons will face in the finals huh? well orlando can easily beat ur squad and i think the celts have the edge on ur squad as well. dont look past those 2 teams or else u'll be in for a long summer lol
I wasn't actually saying it like that.. I was just saying that the teams who the Pistons will be playing in those rounds is very obvious.
No way the Magic will lose in the first round.. No way the Celtics will lose before then.. However any team could make it to the finals from the West.
There's no doubt that the Pistons got a tough draw.. The Sixers have been playing very well since February and have a very good record since then (21-11), the Magic are a dangerous team and the Celtics are the Celtics everybody is picking them.. Nobody's going to be picking the Pistons to win this year, which is good for them because that's when they play the best.
However, this is the best Piston team yet. Better than the '04 team that won it all... Better than the '05 team that went to the finals and better than the '06 team that won 60-some games.
Most of the players on the bench of this team (at least the key guys) would be starters on a lot of NBA teams.. Stuckey, Maxiell.. others..
We got people like Juan Dixon who is probably the 12th or 13th man on this team right now. They are just ridiculously deep and the deepest team in the league.. The team also would've been competing for Boston with the Best record in the league this year, but they don't care about that and have spent the season developing the bench and the young players for this playoff push.
The starters are fresh this year.. They are all getting low numbers in the minutes stat, which is good, and the bench is developed.. Which is awesome.
And the Pistons match up very well against the Celtics.
