for yerba mate drinkers....how much do you drink per sitting or per day?

i asked this earlier but didnt get any response....i always drink 1 canteen of water worth per sitting, once or twice a day...but i feel like having more. i feel like i shouldnt over do it though. but is it common to drink much more than that? plus it leaves a lot of yerba left over.
