but yeah, i wasn't too impressed with Yela at first either, with the feature on WWC and all the other hype......but trunk muzik 0-60 album has been in constant rotation lately!! He's about the only new artist that im feelin in the last year or so ... but yeah.... Yelawolf is a problem!!

Different thing for me to listen to, I like that country twang thang he has going on. Like it better than trying to listen to em recently or lil wyte, they both in my eyes have just gone down

Ok... don't give a fuck about Yela... I think he's super over rated.

But I'll admit I marked out for that tracklist. Cham and Travis Barker? I look forward to the download.
Yelawolfs older mixtapes made me kind of start to stray away from him. But his newer features and solo tracks are pretty good, and with the right guidance he could put together a great album.
I really didnt "get" yelawolf at first. He just wasnt for me. AFTER I listened to his early mixtape (the one hes taking over the radio station) I sort of got a better feel for his origins. I dont think that specific mixtape is anywhere near his best, but to me it helped me understand his style a bit more. That mixtape was over alot of older rock tracks. Its weird, but listening to that from front to back got me into him, even though the mixtape isnt anywhere near his best.

***Edit***
While I am definantly a fan, I do find I can love one song from him, and hate another that sounds similar... I cant put my finger on what it is that does that(maybe like Kain said, the production?), but as a whole I am a Yelawolf fan. Shit, that Daddys lambo song bugs me just due to its topic, but the Drama beat makes it listenable at times...

Better than WWC? Why you gonna say some dumb shit like that?

The chorus is horrible, the beats mediocre, and WWC doesnt have Lil John on it.. so.. case closed.

I laughed when I read that. Let's Go is not even close to WWC. Like you said, the beats meh & the hook is fucking awful, and Busta, Twista & Yela's verses are not as good either.

Not even close.

I just watched the "Daddy's Lambo" vid and thought two things...

1. Drama beats? Really? Good work to Dyrdek for hooking that up, because that kid is mediocre and dated, IMO.

2. I heard the same flow from Yela on that "Pop The Trunk" shit.

Also... Who's supposed to identify with his image? A black dude can't identify with some "I'm a trailer park boy in hollywood asking permission to drive a girl's father's Lambo"... A trailer park white kid can't identify with that shit either, since they're broke... A punk tattoo'd guy doesn't give a fuck about that shit unless he's Travis Barker... And even then, Travis is cooler to me than Yela.

I dunno. I think the original ReHab stomps on this bullshit as far as the "Southern rap" image goes.

The same people who relate to the gangsta rap and everything else put out there on the radio, of course. Suburban white kids.

I use to hate Yelawolf too.. REALLY fuckin' hate him.. I remember him from that dumb ass show Missy Elliot had.. but after hearing his mixtape I had a change of heart..

He does have the WORST verse ever on "2.0 Boys" tho.. Crooked killed 'em all IMO..

Let's see how wack/dope this album is...

I haven't heard anything that I think was wack... But most of the shit is mediocre. On top of that, I've heard from reputable sources that this dude is wack... lol.
