I also went to school with a few WNBA players, namely Sheila Lambert. She was RAW in HS. She did a no look pass from half-court once.

my bro-in-law is cousins with retired giants pitcher Kirk Rueter.....and we used to sell sherm to hector lopez(boxer)..older cats may remember him..López defeated former champion Juan LaPorte to set up a fight to challenge Miguel Angel Gonzalez for the WBC Lightweight Title in 1993. Lopez lost and moved up to Light Welterweight, losing to a young Kostya Tszyu in 1994. He later challenged Randall Bailey for the WBO Light Welterweight Title, but lost via a TKO in the 9th and he hung up his gloves in 2000..I THINK DUDES IN PRISON NOW.

I used to know a bunch of cats on the Cal basketball team and blaze with them. None of them made it pro though.
One of the Houston Rockets sat in on a class I taught in college once. I met him and shit. I forget his name though. He was on the Arizona team that won the NCAA with Mike Bibby. He was the cat that would bomb hella threes all day.
