i played little league with jacque jones down here in southeast san diego, barrio logan to be exact. i also played with erubiel durazo one summer in hermosillo, sonora...my cousin used to hang out with jj stokes and ive played pick up football games with him...right now kevin mitchell plays in the softball league i play in, other than that i really dont knowanyone
I know a few of the Hawks personally.
I have met countless Seattle sports players over the years.
Jay Buhner is very nice guy, as is Rick Tuten.
Rashard Lewis really IS that quiet. I almost got into a fight with a Sonics' 12th man once, he never played and got cut the following year.
Vernon Maxwell use to kick it in Seattle tough when he played out here. Ive been to his house many of times, and even stole weed out of his 2001 gloss-black Porche (he also had a gloos black Range Rover).
Ive been to a shitload of frat parties and there is always football players there, i cant even begin to name all of em. Although I did see nate Robinson beat someones ass at one of those parties.
Warren Moon and Rick Mirer are the biggest fuckin assholes ive ever met next to Bill Nye The Science Guy and Steve Poole (he drives a bucket ass bronze Porche and thinks its nice)
My good buddies' cousin is married to Antonio Daniels. He went to his house last year for Thanksgiving and said he is a major metrosexual dude. He also told me his cousin is a gold diggin whore.
I hit on DJ Hackett's girl 2 months ago at a wedding reception. I had no idea until the next day.
A good friend of mine back in the day used to nanny for Edgar Martinez' kids. She said he was the most humble and genuine sports person she had ever met.
My friend used to work for a place that put up playsets in yards. He did Dan Wilsons' about 5 years ago. He said Dan was a stand up guy, he even invited him in for beers on the job.
A client of mine is a message therapist for a number of Seahawks. Pretty much the whole defensive backfield gets therapy through her chriopractor. She got to go to Superbowl free of charge and all rooms and shit paid for by Jordan Babineaux just so he could get his back loosened up before the game.
She has also blown big bomb with a few big names on the Hawks, but ill leave then nameless.
I played ball against Jamal Crawford some 13 years ago. He was good then too, and he embarrassed me to say the least.
Im sure there is more, im just not remembering now. Regardless, these sports stars are just like you and me. normal people that just happen to be in in the spotlight.
