you do know that most artists don't write their own music right? rappers are just a little different, they don't really stick to song structure (aside from verse, hook, verse, hook, verse, hook)....there are some exceptions to the rule, but for the most part thats the way it is...the neptunes are somewhat like ghostwriters since they create the hook and song direction and beat, the rapper just needs to fill in the verses and viola, a hit...but I do get what you're saying as far as rap goes...but there's also artists that get help on songs....like the game and kanye west....50 helped game write some of his songs...rhymefest co-wrote jesus walks....and as a rapper and an artist, you better WANT to ghostwrite for someone, because you'll be making alot of money for something that comes easy to you, in the long run it well help you get better at song writing as well as give you money
