graphical power is very similar. xbox is louder but ps3 is huge and heavy. some 10+ pounds.

sony didnt have a choice.. this time last year the didnt even have a working model...ps3 was rushed....that will be its downfall..

wow, really? this is a first. usually everyone thinks the ps3 is 10x more powerful than the 360. anyways, the ps3's CPU is more powerful, but harder to program on, and the 360 has a better GPU. They are basically even.

in this case the CPU can be sacrifice for GPU

Making it harder to develop games on only turns third party developers to Xbox 360 to cut production time and cost giving Xbox a larger variety of games to pull from at a faster rate. Or at lease an earlier release date on there Xbox title.

Thats why right now most third party games were developed on the Xbox 360 and ported over to the ps3. Making those game look and play better on xbox cuz thats what they were developed on.

PS3 has the CPU that's better, but nobody knows how to use it to make it better.. And 360 has more RAM and a better GPU..

To me, it makes it seem like 360 is more powerful.

once halo 3 hits its a fucking WRAP! shame to, i used to prefer ps2 over xbox, but 360 improved the controller, and its been on since then.

that's how it was for me.. I was a PS2 guy.. But the 360 controller is absolutely perfect.. and Sony fucked up big with the PS3.. If you look back at some of my old posts, I probably have some saying how I think PS3 is gonna be better than 360, but I've totally changed my mind about that after the PS3 pricepoint was announced.

exactly, its not like da PS3 will use all of the CPU neither will the 360. Obviously the GPU and Ram will be used more so y in hell wouldnt sony make it better then microsoft when they had an extra year in designing?

They were more worried about there price point for making the console then making a better system. Its all about profit and they felt they had the fan base to stick with them. What they fail to understand if you dont have the games to back up your systems stats you slowly get push out of the market. Sony better take a long hard look at what happen to the dreamcast. Great system didnt have the game title that ps2 had and now saga no longer has a console.

the extra ram would of made the price to sell well over 600 bucks. not a good idea for a $600 price point to begin with, but imagine if it was $650.

I heard Ps3 might be coming out with a 80 or 100gb harddrive since the dropped there base ps3. Wonder how much that shit is going to cost.

They should have sacrificed cpu but no its now all about which console has the bigger harddrive who is going to use all that space 120gb or 100gb in downloads. Im more into graphics and how smooth the game runs. Its all about gameplay.
