Actually.. that's not quite right..

It's true that 360 outsold PS3, but the DS was the top selling system. With the PS2 at number two, and the Wii at number 3.

April 19, 2007 - According to new monthly software sales data released by the NPD Group, Nintendo's DS handheld and Wii console were the number-one and number-three best-selling videogame systems for the month of March. Nintendo's machines have owned the charts for the last three months. More than 500,000 people bought a DS and 260,000 a Wii in March.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 console sold almost 200,000 units in March. PSP managed 180,000 units and PlayStation 3 continued to lag behind all others with sales of 130,000.

1. Nintendo DS - 500,000+ Units
2. Sony Playstation 2 - 290,000 Units
3. Nintendo Wii - 260,000 Units
4. Microsoft Xbox 360 - 200,000 Units
5. Sony Playstation Portable - 180,000 Units
6. Sony Playstation 3 - 130,000 Units

of course 360 is in the lead, it came out a year before the rest. Wii is catching up though, and ps3.... :(

btw robby, I think he meant total systems sold, and not just in a month

Honestly, I think PS3 is in deep trouble right now.. They aren't selling for shit. They are getting outsold by the 360, even though the 360 came out a year before.. That isn't good..

Now 360 has the elite coming out in a few weeks and that'll increase 360 sales even more.

Nobody I know right now has a PS3..

That cuz they cost to much and its going to be a year or more before they have the game tiltle that are even worth buying. Shit you could be dead in a year so buy an xbox 360 and have some fun now. Plus game spot is giving $250 for old xbox 360's to go to the elite. So that means there is going to be some used xbox 360's out there for cheap so if you don't have one pick one up.

that new nintendo is owning all they ccompared ps3 to it and it wwas rated by ten game magazine editors as a ten while ps3 got a 5 by 8 of them. i bought a ps3 and a xbox360 and so far the xbox ios a way better system. ps3 is way overated and way overpriced for now. untill they show the true power and storage capabilities blue ray offers and what games will be like using this technology its just a waste of 600 bucks... resistance and motorstorm whoopity doooo. Gears of war and forza motor sports 2 owns 99% of ps3 library oh did we mention halo 3 the game that will outsell everything

I never understood the loyalty some people have to large corporations. Who fucking cares, they all tight to play. Why do some people have such a fascination with who sells more, etc.? Must be the same "I HATE pepsi I only drink coke, fuck pepsi bitch" type of people

i personally aint buyin a ps3 cause the price and i dont think its close to the power of the 360 and imma get that elite shit at the end of the month and thats gonna make it even better

wow, really? this is a first. usually everyone thinks the ps3 is 10x more powerful than the 360. anyways, the ps3's CPU is more powerful, but harder to program on, and the 360 has a better GPU. They are basically even.
