Actually, it's really surprising how badly the PS3 is doing in Japan, which has always been very pro-Sony.

The Wii is outselling the PS3 almost 4 to 1 in Japan.

It's not surprising at all when you take into consideration the fact that the Japanese video game market is slowly dying.
$ony seriously needs to drop the price of the PS3 by a couple hundred bucks in order to compete....

About one year longer then Ps3 but still has sold three times as much in the U.S. which i would say untill now was pro Playstation. But shit with Halo coming out next week and call of duty 4 in november Im sure the gap will grow even bigger.

also the types of games that are published for the 360 arent exactly the types of games japanese consumers enjoy.

gears of war might be the greatest game ever over here but they could care less about it in japan. same goes for countless other shooters and such

there was a spike in 360 sells the week blue dragon came out,a game which is japanese RPG through and through

look at the top 10 sellin games in japan at any one time...for the most part they fall into into these things

a) you have never heard of them
b) are loosely based on a japanese anime we have never heard of
c) are a rpg
