Why the Wii is winning:

1. Price point.

2. Appeal to non gamers.

3. Fun games that you can pick up and play for short periods of time.

Xbox 360 for now, and for as long as Sony prices themselves out of the game.
It's hard to recommend the PS3 to anyone with that price point, even if it had the killer apps they're promising for the future.

Bring the price down, and then we can talk about those PS3 exclusives.
Just don't count on MGS4 staying exclusive.
The Final Fantasy series isn't promised either since Square Enix just dropped a hint a few days ago.
God of War 3? Maybe but keep in mind that David Jaffe, the original game's creator left Sony to start his dev studio.
What's left? Sony first party titles, Rachet & Clank, Grand Turismo, Killzone, etc....

I'd recommend the Wii if you're really into casual gaming, but it's definately not for the hardcore....

I think everybody should have a Wii.. I dunno.. It's just a cool system. I think everybody should have a Wii and and 360/PS3. The way the Wii plays is just amazing, and I bet for the next gen, the other systems copy that shit like crazy.. PS3 already tried a bit.

Xbox 360 has to be the stronger system for a hardcore gamer. Even games that come out on both systems look and play better on the 360 and in some case's come on months ahead of time. I've said it before not worth buying a system that cost more to play the same game on a cheaper system. And Xbox live is killing Sony's online with all the demo's and downloads for games xbox is doing the next gen way better right now.

I really enjoy my Wii. I mostly play it when I get frustrated at a 360 game, but it always puts me in a good mood when I play some Wii Sports or Wario or something. The games aren't very in depth, but they are extremely FUN. Which is what gaming is supposed to be.
