It comes and goes, most of the time I don't but there are quite the occasions where it hits you when you least suspect it. The only remedy for block I would suggest would be to not think about what it is exactly you are writing about and just write whatever is in your head at that moment. Sooner or later everything should fall in together!

funny you mention that, I have that shit right now!!!!! wrote 8 bars on this song, and got stuck. It's not that I couldn't come up with enough shit to finish the song, but it would be substandard for me, and I'd sooner not write anything than just put out some garbage. The song I'm workin on is about God, so I really don't just want to put out some bullshit lyrics, I want people to really think and feel that song, so that's why i have it right now

WHEN EVER I GET IT,I JUST STOP WRITING FOR A LONG ASS TIME(MONTHS).LET ALL MY THAUTS BUILD UP,AND JUST LET LOOSE AND END UP WIT ABOUT 10 NEW SONGS.

WORKS EVERYTIME FOR ME.

try smoking one, then rapping off the top for a while...if i spit to the beat off the top then it gets my mind working, and getting into that specific beat

three things to try and overcome it:

1)Stay busy doing things or keep in contact with someone who out there doing something

2)keep writing until something tight comes out

3)quit writing for a while to let yo mind relax

TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. IT BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT WHEN YOU WRITE A SONG THAT IS GOING ON SOMEONE ELSES TRACK, CAUSE THEY THOUGHT UP THE CONCEPT AND KNOW WHAT THEY WANT TO GET ACROSS. THAT'S WHEN I HAVE THE MOST TROUBLE, OTHERWISE, I'M FLOWIN
