It would be a dumb move for California to split up. We are the 2nd biggest state in the country and we are democrat with 55 electorial votes. If they split it up southern california has alot of rich conservatives and would have a very good chance on becoming a republican state which means it would be almost impossible for a democrat to ever win an election.

Lol there are poor conservatives and rich democrats. Do you think all the states with the majority of the voting population consist of mostly wealthy people? Nope. The poor voters still would out number the rich voters in So Cal. Also you can't just vote for the Democrat because that's what mom and pops always talked about. Be independant, don't let the man lead you on. Politicians are crooked on both sides.
