Haha I felt the same way. That MJG and Bun B track grew on me eventually...and that Happy to Be Here track is cool, but the singing does get annoying!

I been a 40 fan from the early 90s and bought the CD to support the Bay knowing I wasn't really feeling the songs from the previews that I heard. I am happy dude is getting his props, but this album isn't even in his top 5, IMO. I guess times change and artists got to adapt, but all this nonstop "hyphy" shit isn't my cup of tea at all. Rick Rock's beats are getting really repetitive, Lil Jon, Bosko & Droop-E's tracks were alright to awful, at least we got Studio Ton back for one song. After "Grit & Grind", shit hasn't been the same since. Oh well. Still, props to 40.

Real spit - and that ain't hatin because that's eight albums he put out which were heat and back to back favourite albums of mine, most cats ain't even put out 8 albums. But Grit & Grind was the last time I just let shit play, there were a few skips on the last one, and way way too many on this one.

i like im da man your trippin
i agree. 'just fuckin' is kinda whack. 'i'm da man' is catchy.

and i also agree that the last few tracks weren't as good. especially 17 & 18 (gimme head) ..'happy to be here' is a good song, but yes, the woman singing is annoying!! too much of it. otherwise the whole like 4/5 of the cd are all slap after slapppp

i actually didnt not like a song really, but if i had to pick a song it would be im da man, not cuz of mike jones, but that ringing that keeps happening on every bar, it woulda been cool if it was just the hook.

I like "I'm da man" even though I'll admit I don't like Mike Jones' verse... but the song is tight though.

My least favorite is probably yee. I still think it's a cool album though. Lil Jon came through on some of the beats.
