Damn, Iran losing was hella dissapointing. The game was at 1-1 and for the taking and what does Iran do? Defend for ALL of the 2nd half, and take out Karimi. As you guys probably know, trying to defend for a whole half is very difficult, if not stupid. Mexico had hella chances and it was only a matter of time before they scored, which they did. And the funny thing is that Iran's goalie fucked up his clearance and the defender gave the ball to Mexico for the 2nd goal. Until then, the game was heading for a draw. But shit happens, and Mexico is the better team but we were there with ya'll. Iran not WC ready? WHat's gonna happend when Mexico play a world class team if they advance? The group stage aint over my friend, and Mexico will prob. lose in the 2nd round anyways if they make it. But good shit tho. You guys did what you had to do.
Iran made a big mistake of just defending hoping for a draw, immediately after tying the game (and not in the second half).
The subs La Volpe made in the second half paid off big time as Mexico kept pressing, and as you said it was only a matter of time before they scored.
And the way that second half was looking, Mexico would've eventually scored anyways regardless of Iran's goalie mistake.
Don't be so sure about hoping Mexico goes down in the second round, Zinha looked very impressive. I wasn't too impressed with Pardo's play, so there's definately a few changes Mexico can make in order to improve.
Hopefully La Volpe's critics will chew on a mouthful of STFU after this win so that La Volpe can coach his team the way it needs to be coached. With no more "oh those two guys aren't real Mexicans" bullshit coming from uber patriotic Mexican fans.

^^^ Yeah Zinha definetely needs to start. And Pardo had a bad game, but I think they need him out there for his specialty in taking free kicks. He's got the best touch on the ball in the team. I also think that Ramon Morales should get some minutes as well, he can be explosive. But I mean, why not stick to what already worked? I don't care, I just want to keep seeing them win.
The reason why Zinha ain't starting is because prior to this game, a lot of Mexican fans criticized coach La Volpe for throwing in a few naturalized Mexican citizens (not born in Mexico) in the team. Zinha being one of them.
I know Mexican people are very proud, but they need to calm the fuck down some times. It is this prideful behavior that has Nortenos and Surenos going at it. There's no need for it in sports.
Hopefully with Zinha's performance, the Pancho Villas will settle down....

I forgot to add that i beleive that bringing in 3 substitutes early in the game was
a tactical triumph by mexico. They get fresh blood from 3 new players when the game had slowed down a bit. Of course , zinha was the main man of the subs but still.
So theres been like 8 games by now and still not a freekick goal (or a penalty for that matter) . Im talking about a real freekick , one touch . Who will be the first ? I bet Pirlo can score one for italy today if he's given the chance. He's done it so many time for AC MILAN.

I dont know , kind of boring game . Probably because none of the teams will make it to the 1/8 finals . nice last 10 minutes though . I rather see australia win than japan .

That Brazil VS Croatia game was very intense.
The game finished with the same score I predicted but the Croats played much better than I expected.
Brazil will take the top seed but I wonder who will take the second seed out of Croatia and Australia.
I know the Aussies already have three points, but the Croats still have a shot if they can beat the Aussies. It's going to be a close fight for second place....
