I cant wait for this. Hoping my squad IRAN will do a little damage, but its highly unlikely. Croatia is a good sleeper team, they got some good talent at every position, a real solid team. Brazil can easily take it, they are on a another level. RONALDINHO is the man, you dont knows will def. learn about this guy. Italy, Holland and the Czechs should go far. Argentina needs to do something big with all that talent they have. I woulds picked the USA to go far but they got screwed with a tough ass group, but they are a good team so you never know...

Its def. a better tournament when your country is in it so you can root for them...

Ugh! I'm lovin the Iran support. Realistically tho, they prob. wont get tot he 2nd round, I just wanna see 'em win 1 game and score some goals at least...Karimi is a certified baller...I just hope he gets better in time for the WC.

The problem is that the best players from Iran most likely wont go. Too much politics. I dont know this for sure, but I wouldnt be surprised.

Do you remember Arash Miresmaili, the world judo champion? They made him pull out of the 2004 Sydney olympics since Israel was in there as well, and they (gov) did not want to participate in anything Israel was in. He would have ripped on that division.

Not true at all...Iran's best players will be playing barring any injuries...daei, karimi, mahdavikia...ALL OF 'EM will be there...the one sport that Iranian politics cannot stop is soccer..they are soccer mad..

As for the judo champ, I've never heard of him before but I def. believe you. If for example, Israel made it to the World Cup and somehow got drawn into the same division as Iran, Iran would NOT play them and probably take a forfeit (3-0 automatic result)...pretty retarded

Ya, I was just taking a guess. It's good to hear that they will be playing though.

If you look into Arash Miresmaili, he is a two time world Judo champion and was heavily favored to take the gold in 2004.
