Win or lose, hopkins better give it to pascal...he's been my fav. Fighter for so long now, robbed a few times for wins, dealt wit a lot of bullshit with his age in all, so many times ppl counted him out and all it is is added fuel to that good ol dependable cadillac.lol...hall of famer!!

I have been a Hopkins fan for years, and will always be one...I think that sadly, he is really going to look his age in this fight.

I'm picking Pascal to outwork Hop in front of his hometown, by decision.

If Hopkins has 50% left of what he had against Pavlik he will beat Pascal.

Pascal, to me, is not that great of a fighter. He's a good fighter, entertaining and has a lot of heart and extreme confidence in himself, but he's rather simple. So I think a fighter like Pascal, Hopkins can completely exploit and make Pascal look amateur.

However it really does boil down to how much is left in Hopkins tank. If the same Bernard Hopkins that put up an absolute stinker against Roy Jones most recently shows up, I can see him losing on points by getting out-worked by the younger fighter in a terrible fight to watch.

Hopkins does however seem to do his absolute best when he's the underdog. Kelly Pavlik, Tarver, Trinidad, he was the underdog in all of those fights and he put on masterful clinics in each. When he's a heavy favorite (roy jones, taylor) he tends to underachieve. So it could be a matter of motivation with hopkins. He seems to excel to prove the naysayers wrong. I hope that's the case here.

There wasn't an option for Pascal winning outright and not having anything to do with where the fight is taking place. Pascal didn't need the fight to be in Canada to beat Dawson the way he did and I think he takes this one too. Wouldn't be surprised if he lost but my gut tells me he wins a decision

^^fuck you! lol

The only reason pascal could possibly beat hopkins is because he's old, that's a fact. Prime Hopkins would school pascal worse than he took kelly to school
Pavlik does one thing well. He will never do well against someone that has good footwork, just like Felix Trinidad (Hopkins best win).

And it wasn't a debate about whether Hopkins in his prime would beat Pascal, it's about where they are right now when they're actually fighting.

I think B-Hop is going to take this one. He's going to ruff up Pascal on the inside and will not let him off the hook like Dawson did when Pascal got tired in round 6. If Pascal gets tired against B-Hop he's going to get KO'ed late in the fight.

I keep thinking that it's going to be a REALLY dirty fight. Headbutts, fouls, punching behind the head. BHOP is by far one of the dirtiest fighters out there and you know he wants to keep Pascal close to him so I'm sure he'll rough him up in there. Pascal is responsible for headbutts but that often happens when someone is moving in and out a lot

Yo Chris did you ever see Hopkins vs Echols II? That was one of the dirtiest fights ever and also one of the most entertaining fights I can recall. Echols tried to out-dirty the master and that shit backfired big time!

Here are the highlights for anyone interested:

I try to pretend that fight never happend
I agree....it was just a bad look...we were like "why the hell is he doing that?"..lol

same here. I had no idea why he felt he needed to do that. I would understand maybe if was a war or whatever, but jones wasn't doing shit but standing, posturing and covering up the entire fight.

It could be a sign that Hopkins age has caught up to him and if he looks like that against Pascal, it's a wrap for hopkins.

But on other hand, hopkins has a habit of looking his best when he's the underdog. He didn't look great against Calzaghe and everyone was saying pavlik was going to knock him out, next thing you know hopkins was lookin like Ali in the ring lol. So you never know with bhop at this point.
