I used to be a lot like you White folk, disregard it, racism was a looooong time ago etc. Yeah it's definitely better than it was 20 years ago BUT it was just 20 years ago which wasn't too long ago, racism just doesn't go away like that. I never had any problems w/ racism UNTIL I was pulled over by police. That experience changed my feelings toward police. Now that I'm older and educated, I've experienced racism like I never thought I ever would when I was younger. Racism is here and if we don't discuss it, the problem will never go away. It's important to educate others on racism, and I remember in middle school we watched a short, educational video on it. Which promptly started a fight in the room. Parents complained, and my school had to walk on eggshells for a long time. The teacher who played the film got flamed to bits by some parents. Basically the fight was spurred by a girl who called the film "trash", and said that she was tired of people playing the victim card. I remember I got in trouble for asking her if she felt offended when a man told her to get in the kitchen, and make him a sandwich. I'm a female, and I got called sexist somehow?

It's very evident that the issue of racism has not been introduced and confronted enough in schools, and in house holds. When a girl in 7th grade thinks that minorities whine too much, she is obviously being fed this information via her parents. She has been raised with this attitude and has adopted her parents' views via osmosis in a racist house hold. The same applies to sexism, and homophobia.

When I read your reply did I call you a nut rider? No I wanted to know why you said what you said so I asked. Whatever happened between me in you, I left in that thread...I have no personal feelings toward dudes on the net that I have never met so....It's all good over here folks.

Nice examples by the way, but White folks won't speak upon them, they'll just disregard it as "those few" who make Whites look bad imo. I'm BEGGIN' Y'ALL, PLEASE WATCH THE FILM!!! EDIT: Searched for the film online to buy and only place is at stirfryseminars and it sells for $110 a pop to individuals and even more for institutions wtf? If I can get a dvd of this I'll be sure and burn it let anyone and everyone that wants to watch it.
