I think alot of it was scripted, but alot of it wasn't...if you watch the making of video the producer seems t not have a clue about what happens in the bay except what he was told...you'll also see people following them to every location and swinging their shit on the way, which is kinda normal tho...I'm sure they wanted certain cars to swing their shit, but everyone did anyways...and the "ghost ride the whip" part looks like they just flimed any ass place in the street...if it wasn't filmed in the O it would lose its feel...I'm really, for all of y'all that have been to sideshows, didn't that just seem hella normal? like someone just took a camera out to the streets, then filmed a couple people lip synching?

Just some background info for ya...

Bernard Gourley (dude who did 40's video) has contributed a lot to the Bay Area hip hop scene. He's hardly someone who doesn't have a clue about the Bay. Yeah, he's been off the last few years working on bigger projects, but he's been around here...

Bernard was around during the Bay's big time back in the 90s. He ran Swerve Records which released quite a few quality projects:

Mac Dre Rapper Gone Bad
Various Spread Yo' Hustle
Jay Tee & Baby Beesh Latino Velvet Project
N2Deep The Golden State
PSD Game Costs
PSD What It Is
Various 4080 Magazine Compilation - Mobbin' Thru The Bay!

That's just a handful of the releases he was behind. Dude even did the design/layout for the Rompalation back in the day. LOL

Just some background info for people.

When you do a video outside, you have to get a permit from the city i.e. The Vallejo Police Dept. Ask anyone who's done video will tell you, some cities say yes, some say no. A few of E40's videos have been in filmed in Oakand. OPD gives out permits pretty easy depending if your in good standing with city.
