its a federal regulation (reg e) to have more then five ELECTRONIC transfers in a month. you can go into the branch and withdraw the money and deposit. but doing it via atm or bill pay or online transfer (or overdraft transfer from sav to checking) will count towards that five. all banks have that but can charge diff fee's. wamu USED to charge $5 when i was a kid, wells charges $10 (it is reversable at wells)

plus its a savings account fuck are you transfering so many times. it amazes me people who have like 3k and get caught in this trap. is the 30 cents interest really worth it? just put it your checking.

Bank of America has a bullshit policy regarding weekend transactions. A few years ago me and my bro went fishing on a Saturday. We stopped at the bait store and bought a few things. Then stopped at the gas station for gas and beer. He forgot his money and needed cigs. I told him to go use my card. Considering that I used to be high literally every minute of the day, I forgot about these transactions. I went to Walmart Sunday night. This transaction put my account in the negative. Come Monday I was charged with three over draft fees at $35 a whop. Although my transactions on Saturday were covered, they said that on the weekends they charge the biggest transaction first and because of this I was charged over draft fees for all my Saturday transactions. Talk about pissed. I do understand why people resort to mass murdering of corporate employees. I don't condone it, but understand the level of frustration when you can't do shit about it! I had to pay the fees. Fuck Bank of America!

if you went to BOFA and deposited cash or check that monday you wouldnt have gotten charged. Sat/Sun isnt a biz day, so anything you do after cutoff on fri-sun gets debited/credited (deposits) monday night. And how most banks work is credits over debits (you get credit for your deposits, before they debit your account).

It works both ways though. By having the larger transaction post first, it can help stop a car payment, for example, from being missed.
