this how i see it for the longest time LA seperated them selves from the rest of cali and just said La=cali then CAli hip hop died kinda..... But now that the bay is getting some shine theyere doing what LA did saything this aint the westcoast its the bay and LA is getting butthurt cause there not the ones who brought it back to cai....... but that just me
fuck if i ever make it, im not gonna network with many other washington artists, cause i dont like their music the way i like the music in my town specifically. does that mean i dont appreciate them or acknowledge them as part of this state as well, just cause i wont put some cat i dont know, and dont like musically on my album. it doesnt mean that at all. it seems if people dont go out of their way to help all the no namers their haters and blah blah blah, i guess its just some BPS
after PAC died......the whole WEST ceased to exist for the music industry.....

are purists and think that since it originated in the BRONX,
nobody else can even come close to doing it right......there was article after article about wether
"gangsta" <aka WEST COAST> rap was ruining and bastardizing HIP-HOP

after 1996, UNLESS u are talkin bout DR DRE, SNOOP DOGG,
or people affiliated with them (these people are music LEGENDS by this point)......
NOBODY from the WEST did it big since then......

when there was multi-platinum artists from the BAY and LA alike,
signed to majors, the whole 9.........it was a beautiful time.......
and yall are prolly youngsters who need to brush up on the history......

you should listen to more artists then....there's quiet a few good ones from washington......and it won't hurt you to network with people already doing shit....but they'd have to like YOUR music too.....maybe that's part of the problem.
