it aint all about rhymin, its called music, not a poetry, tech is the best rapper ever to rap over the beat, his flow is untouchable imo, but if you have wack beats...im not hatin, im more into sampled shit rather than computer made synths, the only thing im lil bit nervous about his new album is beat selection, still i hope that kod will be the shit

I agree, because these pre-determined deadlines are inadvertantly destroying some potentially monumental collaborations.

Even with "Everready" Twista didn't make it.

For "Killer" Lynch was replaced by Liquid Assassin

and now "KOD" Corey Taylor is cut because a deadline?

Come the fuck on! Make the records and release it.

Give us "VT2" or fuckin' anything... a "Lost and Found" collection.

These deadlines are molding less than spectacular releases, from the production to the lack of creativity because it's a rushed product.

And for what?

Can someone at SM answer that?
Seriously??? Corey Taylor got cut from K.O.D.? No more Tech N9ne/Slipknot collabo?! I was really looking forward to that

i dont think any of his albums are unfinished. They just dont turn out to what you wanted them to be. Until Anghellic II comes out people will continue to hate.
ive given up hope that we will ever get anything close to anghellic, or absolute power, or everready, or calm before the storm, or the worst

i don't really see how you can't see that the albums seem like they aren't getting the attention to detail that they used to. Everything from the subject material, lyrics, to the beat selection does not seem like it gets the same self critiquing that strange used to, hell even the album covers and liner note art seems half assed

personally I have a playlist from every tech release post everready of what i consider to be great tech songs, and it currently consist of only 21 tracks and none of them really come close to the great music tech was giving us from anghellic to everready

I will still support tech and strange, I think Genius is one of the best releases this year, but I find myself more and more less hyped for every release

an artist with a contract that requires him to put out an album, is actually fulfilling that contractual obligation?

I see that your a fan of Lynch, but it shouldnt be some massive event that he is in the studio recording, he is an artist, its his profession, its the minimum of what he is expected to do

I think this thread is useless until the album comes out. Cuz for now all we can do is speculate on something we don't know shit about.

If somebody says some obvious shit "taking your time allows an artist to polish up an album better" some butthurt faggot will counter that by claiming the person has lost all faith in Tech and that Tech is incapable of fucking up

Actually yes. Im no MC by any means but just based on common knowledge, if you take your time on something, the first time you lay it down, come back to it a lil later and you may not like something about it or see something you can add to it to make it better. I know back when I did graphic designing Id make something... Then come back to it like a week later before I submitted it. Because ur not gonna see the inperfections or corrections you can make the first and only time you see it.

Same applies to music I would think, after you record it the first time, if you have time to come back to it, you can be like ohh no we should change the hook to this, or dub it or whatever. Maybe switch the verse up with a different style, remix the beat at this part ect. But if you only have time to go into the studio and lay it down one time then send it off cuz you gotta move on to the next song. You give yourself no time to come reanalyze the track and make changes to make it more effective...

PERFECT EXAMPLE: Look at the way they do Bout To Bubble live, with hyphy shit mixed in all that shit they added to it. Imagin if all that was added to albums version when it was released... Track would of recieved MUCH higher praise if thats the version that was on the album
I agree 100%
