From my experience......it doesn't matter what you do for most of these ungrateful bastards (artists).......they're always gonna expect more and think you're fuckin' them over.
I'm in the same boat......most of my cheese is from hustlin'......but my artists think (or thought) it was comin' from album sales or Mp3.com. Not realizing that it was all going back into the bank to do the next albums and elevate the label. It takes money to make money.......those with money know that. It's always the broke, no hustle havin' ass muthafuckas that talk shit and trip.
And 1 more thing........all these dipshits who claim that they are gettin' fucked over and runnin' around talkin' bad about their labels makes shit even worse. It's like within the last couple years....ALOT of indie labels have been gettin' bad raps because somebody who doesn't understand the game wants to run their label's name through the mud. Other artists see and hear this shit and it makes them paranoid.......and quick to point fingers and make accusations because shit ain't goin' the way they want it.
