actually we havent worked with him in about 8 or 9 months

there were a few car shows we had him appear at but we split the cd sales money with him even though we werent obligated to do so.. basically payin him to sign autographs for the fans, we didnt expect him to show up for free. For the past year he been tellin folks he's doin his own thang but his contract duznt run out til the end of this month. If we were assholes we would've sued him for breach of contract and placed injunctions on every album comin out with Droop verses recorded while under contract wit KVE. He was treated fairly... he received checks when we received checks. evidently he thought it shoulda been more but everytime checks came they were attached to income statements and expense reports. How many indie labels do you know of that does it like this? seriously. We're involved in a business and we try to run it as honest and effeciently as possible. We're shrewd businessmen with hustlin instinctz so when artists expect us to pay their rent, buy them clothes, buy them a car, buy them groceries there's going to be friction and unhappy people, shit we're not a major label with six figure budgets for every project.
Every little bit of money we get back that doesn't go to bills or operating costs goes to things that help the company expand such as Studio equipment & production costs. You gotta spend money to make money and slowly but surely we'll continue to climb up the ladder.. but with who remains to be seen. We wish nothing but to best to and for Droop and hope he recaches the level of fame and fortune he so desires. Just remember where ya started and came from. We will.

it was a lil much but hope that helps to clarify any ?'s u mightve had.

thanx for the continued support.

Shea: i feel ya, but i was meanin from a Label perspective that sounds really funny and stupid for a artist ta say that to us...........especially if we have not got our own house from the label................i mean i have a couple houses but that from my hustle not the label , label is secondary income if not third party income to me and MS...........the hustle always pays and the label business has its moments but thats about it

Tha whole Droop/KVE situation

From what I've read, I think that was a BAD move on Droop's part. How you gonna come at your (former)label like that? They're the ones that put you on. Without KVE, you probably wouldn't have had the exposure that you do. Its understandable if you wanna venture out and do your own thangz, but at least give credit where credit is due---> KVE.

I'm sure there are still people that don't even know of you. I'm from Kansas City, Missouri(Northland) and I can almost guarantee you that no one up here has heard of you. Sure, I pass out flyers here and there when I have time, but its on the person, if they wanna buy your stuff or not. I can only do so much.

Besides that, I attend college full time and that takes up most of my time. I pass out flyers at school when I get the chance. I've given some music stores in my area some flyers. The Sam Goody up here didn't have any of your stuff. There's probably so many units they'd want to order at one time anyhow. Thanks to me, they have a copy of Bootlegz & Collectionz. Its probably still on the shelf. Its $15.99. I don't think anyone will be pickin' it up anytime soon, but at least its there.

If that was you that made those comments, do you think people gonna wanna buy your albums? Think about the impression you made after those comments. How do you think we, the fans and supporters are gonna feel? Not only us, but also KVE. What about other labels? Suppose someone wanted to work with you and just happened to read your comments?

If you didn't make those comments, disregard everything I just typed.

@KVE

True. Ya'll (KVE) are handling this well. It looks as though Droop's wolfin- He's fortunate yall are so cool & not sueing his ass. He could carry himself better than that. He can say all he wants about KVE- but the people know about KVE so its no loss on your part. What artist are signed to your label?
