Rap seems to have the shortest shelf life of any genre, no carlos suntana in hip hop yet.

It's probably due to the lack of musicianship. The stuff that holds up the best is the stuff from the best producers IMO. The MC might have been doing this thing at the time, but if the beats don't hold up well, it makes it hard to listen to a decade later.

i respect p in the same way i respect jt the bigga figga..they are a small percentage of real niggas in the game that are about they business whether you dont like they music or them,you respect them for that
