Why are the giants signing all these over the hill veterans and they extended ray 'im always hurt' durham for 2 more years? Scratching my head on their moves but Sabean usually makes good moves.

6 mil a year for roberts, i guess were arent the only idiots overpaying for stolen bases. at least for an extra 3 million a year we get 200 hits per season and a .300 average

Dave Roberts will be a great Fit. As for the the Dodgers, I think I'm the only Giants fan that sees them as a great 1-5 teams, imagine two men who can bunt, steal over 50 bases, and hit above average, crazy, it's almost like Ricky Henderson X 2.

I'm not a giants fan or anything, but i think the Roberts signing is a good one. if he equals his production from last year he'll be a good fit in the leadoff spot.....hell i even like the Durham signing, i was hoping the Cubs would sign him but instead they went with Derosa which has had only one good year....i'd take durham and his 20 homers out of the 2nd base postion anyday.

^^^his OBP for 2006 was .360 and his batting avg was
.295 in 129 games.
Now Look at Juan Pierre's Sorry OB% STATS.292 weak 330 OBP I think you were speaking of him, and 58 stolen bases with 20 Caught Stealing. I'm glad the Giants saved their money, you stupid dodger fans are going to regret Furcal and Pierre at a combined 23 MILLION.

who would regret having two .300 hitters that produce 400 hits and 100 SBs at the top of the order?

^^ok, and what does that mean? i knew that already
You'll be stuck with 2 big Contracts, and have roughly 15-25 Millions to spend Next Year, while the Giants will have yet again 30-44 Million to spend, they could use their Farm. go after Vernon Wells who might command 15 Million, Michael Young, who could command 12-15 mil, I'm pretty sure, the Giants will sign a BIG NAME player, while the Dodgers ponder with the waste of money, it'll be like last year with Furcal and Lofton, believe that.

Holy shit i didnt realize michael barrett was a free agent after this year......not to worry though, if the cubs dont make a huge mistake by trading barrett then i'm confident him and Zambrano will be locked up shortly......damn it would suck to take his production away from that infield the cubs got going on. oh yea and STOCKTON, where did you find that list, can you post a link?
