people? No, the few off the many. 1 prospering out of 100 is not progress. People making it as a whole is progress. Every controls their own destiny and life, the only way a government can control you is if you're stupid enough to let them.

United States isn't the greatest country as long as Capitalism runs it. As long as the power lie's in the private sector, people will continue to be fucked over, what's so great about that?

or if there is no freedom of speech or ability to dissent like the way it is in Cuba and Iraq where if you speak up against the regimes there they will kill you.

No such thing as Freedom of Speech if you can't be heard. Same goes for the U.S.

Yeah it gets worse and worse each day....

How does religion fit into a communist society?

How come nobody is answering my questions?
What question?

If your refering to when you asked me "name five things you dont like about amerikkka." Well, I can name 500 things I dislike about amerika. If you really want to ask a difficult question, you should ask "Name five things you like about amerika."
I've been thinking about that for two days now and I can only think of a couple of things.

Oh yeah I also wanted to know how does a communist government treat religion?

Professors to take students to Cuba

STORM LAKE, Iowa (AP) - Two Buena Vista University professors plan to lead a student trip to Cuba next year to study Latin America.

The trip is part of a new interdisciplinary program at the university that would allow students to learn about the history, culture, economy and other aspects of the area, said Eric Eller, assistant professor of economics and finance.

Eller, along with Tim McDaniel, assistant professor of mathematics, scouted out destinations for the trip while accompanying an Iowa trade delegation last month. The delegation's purpose was to discuss Iowa import and business possibilities.

The members included U.S. Rep. Leonard Boswell and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Patty Judge, as well as representatives from the Iowa Corn Growers Association and various companies.

Delegation members and the professors also met President Fidel Castro. Eller said members had cookies and ice cream with the president.

"It was crazy sitting around the table eating ice cream with one of the most historic people of the past century," he said.

I THOUGHT SOME1 SAID THAT IT WAS ILLEGAL FOR AMERICANS TO TRAVEL TO CUBA

I have no idea what will happen to Cuba when Fidel dies.

What happened to Cuba when "the capital from Russia stopped comming in?"

What has been happening to Cuba ever since U.S sanctions have been placed upon them?

Most "communist" countries in the past have respected and allowed the freedom of religion and belief and the freedom of non-religion and non-belief.

i simply asked why commies here were saying that it was illegal for American to go to cuba. when in this article it states that as part of a class study in a university they (professors and students) were going to travel to Cuba. and that they eat cookies and ice cream already on a previous trip with castro

If you don't believe it go to your local airport and try to buy a ticket to Cuba.

My 11th grade U.S. History Teacher (Vietnam Veteran) even told me it was illegal for anyone in the U.S. to fly to Cuba. He said you'd have to go to mexico, Canada, or any other outside country first then fly from there.

Why would a U.S. History Teacher who's a Vietnam Veteran say it was illegal for Americans to go to Cuba?

whats wrong with that. so Americans can go to Cuba, then right??? all they have to do is make their connection another country right???

whats wrong with having to go to another country before going to cuba.

everytime i go to Oklahoma, Tennessee or Kentucky. i never go striaght there. we always have to make a connection in Phenoix, Minneanopolis, El Paso, Chicago or some other city/state.
