I think the whole point of this thread in the beginning was to merely point out that just because someone is a killer that does not make their family is bad people. It could go down to how a person is raised but in actuality, people have choices and you choose to kill. The family of the killer should not be looked down upon because of the killers choices. We all make our own choices. I am sure the mother of this man or woman is thinking to herself everyday....What did I do wrong? Maybe if I would have done this differently? She too is probably suffering.

As far as the candy bar and soda, from what I hear of prison it is nothing nice. Why do you think a prisoner is so happy to get out? I say let them have a candy bar and a soda once in a while.

THE INTENTION OF PRISONS IS TO REFORM.

So if you can rehibilitate a few of the millions sent away to do time for a serious offense, they need to be treated fair and YOU NEED TO BE SURE THEY COMMITED THE CRIME BEFORE EXECUTING (killing) THEM! If you killed someone and felt you could be reformed, youd be complaining, and your familly would be too.

Prisoner's get a lot of things that they may or may not 'deserve.' They get weight lifting facilities, air conditioning, cable, free medical/dental...things that some average non-criminal Americans don't even have. Whether they deserve it or not, there are reasons that they do get these things. Appeasement happens to be one of them. I asked Anerae a long time ago, why he & the other prisoners got to have & do all this 'stuff.' He answered with one word, 'appeasement.' If these people are locked up, wouldn't it be much easier to keep the peace (I am not failing to recognize the amount of fights & other violent acts that do occur in prisons) by keeping them happy with simple things like candy bars, soda, weight lifting facilities, than to have to deal with thousands and thousands and thousands of angry, & bored men & women day after day after day. If you have a bunch of angry pit bulls in a cage in your backyard, and you can't let them out cuzz they could terrorize the neighborhood, wouldn't it be much easier to give them a few milkbones to chew on rather than hear them growl, bark, and fight day in and day out?

But on another note, up until a couple years ago, I didn't know that prisoners were allowed to have FRUIT. (You can't deny it, fruit is bomb as hell!) As stupid as it sounds, I thought they would be deprived of fruit cuzz it's just so damn good. Buuuut...I was wrong.:classic:

when i was waiting in juvinille hall to see if they'd throw out my case i remmber the part i was locked up in had a PS2 , foos ball, ping pong, big screen with cable,daminos . it wasn't bad alot of them were facin a few years. the food wasn't bad but they told me they didn't get any meat the last week befor cuz they was cuttin back on the bugget , only bad thing was i had no contact with one of the guys i did the thang with so i was in my cell by myself for most of the day .i was thinkin when i was in there so this is were tax payer money is goin

Im gonna toss my opinion out there without even reading all the reply's. 1st off, tooper good subject homie. It's good to see cats using they minds and gathering opinions on important social matters not just rap music. Keep it up homie. That beign said this is just my opinion. I think its something that will never be resolved based on the fact that it is all ran by humans and humans will never be perfect. I think that not every person in jail or convicted is truly guilty, just as a i feel not everybody that has been found inncocent truly is innocent. I think there should be a limit to that which a convict can obtain, but who am i to say? Also, What if the convicted criminal truly is sorry for their past deeds and repents. Should it not be up to god decide their fate and well being? Im not saying that we shouldnt punish criminals, but when it comes to such matters i think we forget that these are human beings and there are some things that us as fellow human beings have no right to take away. I dont think that we should have a death penalty at some times, and sometimes I want to take a persons life so i am unfit to make such decisions, My emotions fluctuate according to my benefit cuz i am only a man. Much love to everyone that speaks on this subject regardless of what side of the fence you sit on. It is questions like these that our generation will someday be called upon to answer. Keep focused brothers and sisters
