I'm really disappointed in this thread you started, Rip. It reeks of hate towards X-Raided and Bloc Star. Why would you do that? You talk about Gold albums and which album is better, and then disguise your hate as an innocent question once people responded negatively to it. And in response to your comment above, X hasn't fucked with or even spoken to anybody from Black Market in at least 5 years, and probably even well over that.
When X had his cell phone a few months ago, Lynch played the entire DAAM album for him and X loved it, X promo'd it, X wrote a blog about how dope DAAM was and encouraged people to buy it, he Twittered about how excited he was to be working with Lynch again and how people won't be disappointed in DAAM . He even spread word on the yard to inmates and told them to have their folks cop it. That's G. That's not hatred or competition, that is positivity and encouragement. I don't think Lynch would EVER publicly hate on X-Raided or any of his albums, or ask people to choose between his ablum or X's like you did.
Why not talk about how dope "I'm Better Than Y'all" or Speak The Truth" is instead of talking about what you DON'T like about the album? Did you hear "Blast For Me" from the Unforgiven 2.5 album he released on the same day? The dopeness of that song can't be denied. It's a matter of positivity and support vs. negativity and hate -- and you didn't choose to support X.
Instead of congratulating X-Raided for completing 6 albums worth of vocals and getting two albums out last week in spite of living in a level IV prison, you start a thread that encourages people to choose sides between X and Lynch. While you're out promo'ing DAAM and signing autographs at record stores, you should know that X-Raided sustained serious injuries last week during one of two riots that broke out between the blacks and hispanics, and had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment. His daughter and I still don't know the nature or extent of his injuries, if he was stabbed, beat with a pipe, or what... the prison would only confirm that he was one of the inmates airlifted to the hospital and that he was in stable enough condition by Saturday to be brought back to the prison medical facility for further treatment. Now do you see the sillyness of your comparisons? It is absurd to compare X to Lynch or ask people to choose which they like best as if it's "us against them." X-Raided and Lynch live two completely different lifestyles, they make two completely different types of music, they deal with two completely different sets of circumstances and life experiences.
We love Brotha Lynch, we buy his CD's, we are happy for his success and are confident that it will grow if he continues to release albums. Even as some of us outgrow the whole horrorcore/siccness thing, we will continue to purchase his CDs as long as he keeps making them, to show our support. If you love X as you say, I hope you would also continue to buy his music and maybe you'll even enjoy a song or two one of these times. B.Parker
"You fools be blowin' smoke like a hornito/ You only say you know X to impress other people/ Your ego's so gordito/ But we kept on working and didn't say a word/ We kept the faith and now look what has occurred... hallelujah" << Real Chop.
