I was off, but that's due more to the fact that SF has overachieved, IMO. Not that that's a bad thing; they've looked better than I thought they would. If they'd let Gore do more, they'd be even better, IMO. Imagine if Arizona sucked as much as they normally do...SF might be the NFC West champions with 5-6 wins.

I can understand that reasoning, but who's to say Detroit's going to be any better next year? You stay to be ''safe'', then there's the possibility that your stock drops, due to injury, a down year, someone else at the same position having a stand out year...and then you lose out on millions of dollars.

Detroit Lions...and 30 million...or Cleveland...and 2 million.
