i forgot to put "other"....favre isnt god......if he will contribute to 3-4 more wins they will be lucky....favre had a great season with his wideouts and RB doing the majority of the work....he was on a team that was easily 10x more talented then the team he is on now...
favres wideouts had more yards after the catch then any 2 in the nfl and possibly the near the top of any wideout tandem in history of the game......they were that good after catching the ball......favre doesnt have that talent to support him on the jets.....point blank period.....favre is one of if not the best QB in the history of the game.....but that doesnt take from the fact that the jets are simply in lack of talent....

I wouldn't say the Jets had no major additions besides Favre this offseason. They went out and spent mad money on their OLine (Woody and Faneca), and they picked up one of the best blocking FBs ever in Tony Richardson. Them getting Favre boosted them up big time in my book, its not like he doesnt have weapons to throw to ya know (Cotchery and Coles) and Thomas Jones who in my opinion will do great with the additions I talked about earlier let alone having Favre as his qb now aswell. Their defense will be what holds them back from overtaking the Bills for the #2 spot in the division imo though. Who knows though right? Anything is possible.

well since farve is going to play this year the madden curse will not be broken and the jets will have clemens at qb in no time making them not as good as many people believe they will be this season, however they will not have the first pick. First pick in the 2009 nfl draft will be ATLANTA FALCONS. when your teams best player is michael turner or roddie white, both decent players, but not probowlers or standout players, you will = worst team in the league
i think the jets and bills will fight for 2nd place in the afc east.
in addition to woody, faneca, and richardson, they also got kris jenkins from the panthers. it's his first time playing in a 3-4 scheme, but he will help the jets defense improve. he's a massive guy that will definitely occupy 2 blockers in order to have their linebackers make tackles.
they have a young secondary, whose best player is underrated kerry rhodes, who should've made the pro bowl twice already...
