let's talk about pac-marquez.

floyd-ortiz in the other thread.

come on guys, lets keep these threads some what on topic at least. This is stupid. Happens every damn time.

Pac-Marquez or possible other immediate opponent news here. Floyd in Floyd-Ortiz thread.

Both these fights are months away. There are a bunch of great fights coming up in days and weeks. Talk about boxing:

those are clean. I've always loved red/black combo sneakers.

I don't follow the endorsement stuff too much, but I remember reading last week I believe pac and Nike were about to sign a monster contract and HP wants to extend their contract as well.

He goes on to claim that Pacquiao will sign anything, stating that "Manny Pacquiao never saw a contract he didn't like". He also proclaims that he knows the amount of money that Pacquiao got from his Nike deal, which he claims was $75,000. Now for a major star like Pacquiao and one of the biggest brands out there like Nike, this sounds like a pretty low offer. Than again Mayweather doesn't disclose why he thinks this was the case and doesn't seem to have an answer as to why Nike are sponsoring Pacquiao and not him.

You can cut and paste that into your search engine, but the video was from Slam Online. Btw, this was last year, not this year.

Right. That was true about signing contracts because his team was absolutely chaotic under michael koncz companies had a real hard time signing him cuz they had to go through about 15 people. Now top rank handles all of that shit and they are much more experienced with dealing with endorsements and PR stuff

I don't think they are being sold yet, Floyd-Ortiz tickets just went on sale today and that fight is a month or two before pac-jmm.

marquez has a tune up fight on 07-16 against Likar Ramos, I assume he'll have to win first in order for the fight to be final and some time shortly after that tickets will go on sale. if he loses Bob Arum said someone like Mike Jones could take his spot, but nothing certian.

Looks like some people have been stealing from Pacquiao (not surprising).

Pacquiao vs Marquez in Jeopardy : Pacquiao Financial Problems

Where did Manny's money go?

July 24th, 2011
Brad Cooney

Recently Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao was advised by one of the “good guys” in his circle to bring in VisionQwest to take a good look at his financial records in order to determine if his money has been on the up and up.

According to a reliable source, VisionQwest has found a substantial amount of discrepancies far exceeding the million dollar tax refund that Bob Arum was quoted as saying.

8CN welcomes Bob Arum and or Michael Koncz to join us to either deny or admit these allegations.

8CN has also been informed by our sources that Manny Pacquiao has not signed the contract to fight Juan Manuel Marquez, which is set for November. Our sources inform us that Pacquiao and his newly hired team (VisionQwest) are not satisfied with the alleged 20 million dollar guarantee (plus upsides of the PPV). Sources tell us that VisionQwest through their investigation have determined that Pacquiao has been extremely underpaid for years, particularly with the PPV buys.

Our sources tell us that no matter what Koncz is saying to selected media types about remaining Pacquiao's adviser, it's simply not true. Pacquiao has signed a contract with VisionQwest, and they are currently handling all of Pacquiao's business matters.

8CN will continue to stay on this story and update you accordingly.
