i dont listen to any chopped music, by any downsouth rappers, but i do listen to down south rap when its at normal tempo, i like scarface and outkast and AL Kapone, but i dont listen to their screwed music, cuz well it blows haha.

WE GOT OUR OWN SOUND AND TO ME THE BEST KIND OF BEATS, THEM MOBBED OUT SLUMPERS, JUST CUZ GAY ASS MTV OR BET OR ANY OF THEM MAGAZINES HARDLY SHOW ANY LOVE DONT MEAN WE NEED TO CHANGE A GOD DAMN THING. WE AINT LOOKEN FOR HELP FROM ANYONE ESPECIALLY SOUTHERN CALI MAFUCKAS, THE BAY GOT THE BEST SOUND IN RAP, THE REST OF THE COUNTRY AINT REALLY READY FOR IT.
LMFAO at this fag, u sound like the typical bay area rap fan.. You fuckin act like Yukmouth livin in the 90's and shit.. gotta start beef so muthafuckas can spit ur name and not forget u. IT GETS OLD! which is a shame cuz he one of the bay cats that got talent. If the bay soooo on fire then how come nobody outside the bay knows about it? I agree support ur area, but shit.. fuck bein closed minded. If somethin tight im gonna listen to it, if someone hustled big time, i gonna congradulate them.. fuck bein a hater.. thats little kid shit.. muthafuckas need to grow up and get there shit out there. This topic was about ALBUM SALES.. not hating on the SOUTH. I agree the bay got heat.. enough to Blow.. not yet.. 20 rappers in the bay that can make it. Hell nah. I would like u to name 20 bay rappers who u think should be KNOWN.. with videos on MTV, BET and so on.. I could only see a few that should be recoginized. I see only a few.. E-40, Yukmouth, Jacka, Balance and Mr. Kee.

And look at Baby Bash, he went to Texas and looked what happend.. and whos next from the bay.. none other then E-40.. i bet money that with E-40 bein under Lil Jon beats.. he'll sell close to more then he's ever has..

Paul Wall has more heat then 80% people in the bay.. and thats where i live. I'd bet my money that he would get on MTV before most of these bay rappers could. im not hatin on that either.. i just get tired of people in my area complaining about all these other rappers shining and hatin on them because there favorite (insert bay area artist here) isnt selling..

I agree Mike Jones doesnt have lyrical talent, thats why he's a "Good ass Promoter".. nothing more nothing less.. He grinded to get his name out there and it worked and if u cant accept that then, that just hating. Jones was in the right place and right time. Mtv picked up on the "Still Tippin" video hype and went with it.. i mean the song is like a year old. Jones was there to promote himself with it. (right place, right time)

The south is on the rize and aint nobody stoppin it, Chamillionaire is gonna make it even more popular. Mark my words. and Chamillionaire has more skillz and style then 90% rappers outta anywhere. So i would love for u to complain about him.

The bay needs to step there game up, and get creative with there shit.. all i ever hear is about how it was in the 90's.. get with the present times. That aint workin no more..

and by the way, what songs have u heard from "Paul Wohl"? Paul can come up with some creative ass shit.. just because u saw him in a video on mtv or somethin doesnt mean thats all the lyrics he has in his arsenal.

a Bay cat getting on the Southern siccness dissing the Bay... wow, shit never ceases to amaze

Paul Wall and Mike Jones are geting that $$$$ but that's on some 90's shit... and if you want to talk MC's... it was Slimm Thug that killed it on "Still Tippin"

and I wonder why Paul Wall would get on MTV ???? huh, let me guess... Eminem with fronts... talk about played-out... I got gold teeth at the Flatbush Mall in Brooklyn in 94!!!

"the Bay needs to step their game up, and get creative with their shit... " is that a joke????

go buy some CD's homie

Good list, out of that list the only ones that grab me that can make it would be.. Balance, Mr. Kee, maybe Turf talk, San Quinn, Mob Figgaz, Frontline if they keep releasing new shit and not the same album 3 times.. and maybe Messy and Keek. Yuk should be in there.. but he's too busy talkin shit about everyone and nobody cares about it.

Mac Dre is the #1 person i could have seen and SHOULD have been on MTV.. his style, his raps should have been out there nationwide.. he was the best thing coming outta the bay.. and its ashame he's gone. RIP

E-40's a legend and will be on MTV more.. i can see that.

Jay Tee i cant get into i own like 4 albums, B-Legit, JT, Richie, PSD are past there time.. i dont think they can pull it off to get outta the bay expozure.. besides being "bay" legends..

Federation, i dont see anything special about them.. besides the production..

then you should know that Jacka and Turf Talk are "creative" and "new"

never said you "hated" but you dissed, and you made some sweeping generalizations... Keak is not 90's nor is The Team for that matter... have you heard the Ya Boy tracks from his up coming album???

nothing wrong with criticism... I loved the beats on Messy's new album, but I felt his lyrics were weak (I'm a big fan though, just dissapointed) and while I respect 40 and Mac Dre (RIP) I don't dig their music 100%

but B-Legit is a savage, he's far from peaked homie... flow, lyrics... B-La is hands down the standard for street music (regardless of what region you're from) did you hear what he did to the Eclipse "Grindin" beat????

opinions are like females, you can have more than one

Thank you SFwood, u came at me with reason and i can respect that.. and i agree with everything u said. u must of missunderstood what i said.. i said most of the bay.. I agree Jacka is fire.. he has the qualities to be known nation wide. I can see him bein played from West to East. The bay artist i listed arent missing anything besides a major deal.. Turf Talk is new.. and he is creative. enough of this cuz i want the Bay artist that deserve to be major be there.. same with the south. Already.. im done with this topic.. lol
