Okay, so I have been looking at AR-15's for a while now. I already have an AK and have been wanting to pick up an AR before they try to ban assault rifles. I know It's like a beefed up 22 rifle but they look mean and have parts/ammo readily available plus they seem to be accurate at a long distance (unlike the AK).

With so many manufacturers to choose from such as Colt, Brushmaster, DPMS, etc... who makes the best rifle when it comes to bang for the buck. I saw a DPMS for 750 yesterday and went back to look at it again today but it was already sold :ermm: Typically it seems that any AR is gonna cost 1000.00 or more.

Who makes the best AR and whats a good price for one?

haha... No. It's a romanian that I picked up at a pawn shop for 550 back when bush was pres. I got the last one of the 10 that they had at the time. They had a chinese mak-90 for 350 but I opted for the romanian wasr. The pawn shop shut down shortly afterwards. I like the K but it's not a sniper.

colt makes the best uppers in my opinion. i built mine and that was the one thing i wanted to get first. colt 6920. best upper around

lowers dont make much difference,you can find a cheap dpms one for like $120 bucks, thats what i ended up getting

i have a kreiger barrel. one of the best i have owned, highly reccomended

i dunno.. about 80 - 100 dollars?

i never understood why AKs are so cheap though wheras mac-10s and clean pistols can easily set you back £1500
