Hard to compare since they are so different. I prefer Santana's music, but I can't deny Clapton's talent and influence on music.

Hendrix was the best to ever touch a guitar, IMO.

What's funny to me though, is Clapton came in at number 4 on the top 100 Guitarists of all time, and Santana never reached the top 10.

Everybody has their own style...which is why they are considered the greatest at what they do. BB King is on the list of Top 10 guitarists (#3)...which means the music world was able to compare him to the aforementioned guitarists.

as far as the best ever i'd have to go with lil wayne in that one music video where he wears that electric guitar thats almost as big as him
