Sac is on the map! Now who'll keep it there is the question. C- Bo was the first person... but his jail record affects his track record. No offense, but Lynch, Nutty, and X can't speak for all of Sac. Bay niggas I know, don't fuck with them dudes. Outta state niggas I know don't fuck with them dudes. Them niggas is all tight... but they only speak for and appeal to a certain crowd... Gangstas(crips). Lynch is nice, but not everyone wants to listen to Horrorcore rap. On that note, Hollow Tip... he's the next best thing to C-Bo as far as well rounded gangstas go. His appeal has him able to do songs with various artist and not be pigionholed into the gangsta rap circle of friends. C-Dubb, his beats, his delivery, and his track record is nice... the only thing standing in his way is his race. If he can keep overcoming that as he has been doing... he has a pretty good chance. There are a lot of artist with talent in Sac, but there are not a lot of artist with mainstream appeal. The most well rounded artist will prevail. So on that note... who's the best unsigned hype to do it. Just because you don't have an album, don't mean you can't be a runner up. The people I've heard that I'm looking forward to hearing are:

Philliated Phamily( Oz., Mal. B, Flossalini, Aleze, L.B, Joesy Wells)
Takeover Ent. - J-Gib's & Prince
Doey Rock
Bueno
Lil Darrele
N.O.H(Nation of Hardheads)- Nommad
Farm Boyz(Ralph Razor)
DeShuan( G.P's Lil Homie)
Skari( C-Way Musiccore)

@ C-Dubb,
Man, you know you nice... but it's gone be them hatin niggas that's gone try to play that race card on ya. Eminem still can't get his props, but the real know he's one of the illest. Same goes for you, niggas know yo shit slumps... but them insecure ass niggas still gone end it off with "for a white dude". You been doin fine, shittin on those that doubt, so keep it up and the championship can be yours. Just throw ya boy a couple of dimes so I can get a tripple double too.

lynch isn't purely horrorcore nowadays. his shit has a lot of variety. more importantly, as for x, he's not about straight bangin. dude is probably one of the smartest rappers there is. x is lyrically unrivaled and he can put down some philosophical/socially conscious shit. imo, x is like pac but more lyrically talented.

hollow, while he's put out some good shit, is not consistently tight enough to be on the list. and how could you say lynch, x, and nutty too gangsta but c-bo isn't?

C-Bo is hard enough to get down on whatever. His sound is more versatile "to me". An X-Raided & Yukmouth album... unlikely. Everybody is damn near gangsta, but like he said on Mal. B's album"I'm a known gangbanga wit no rag". Lynch got a dark cloud hanging over his head from those who couldn't get past the baby eating shit to recognise his talent. T-Nutty doin his thang... but he got X-Raided in his blood meaning he is more recognized thru the eyes of crips. With that you have segregation, so there are some that are gonna be bias to his talent due to his affilliation and affiliates. I think somebody said it best with "Bueno". I like that kat's sound and he didn't sound like a gangbanga, Bay Boy, or nuthing that can lump him into a group. From a rapper to a rapper, he's nice... as a team mate he'll definatly make good plays. There are a lot of rookies with talent too, so watch for the draft.

True indeed, and I'm gonna be the oldest cat drafted!! LOL

I think more co-operation and networkin' between Sac artists needs to pop off before we can get any further. If we kicked in the door as a WHOLE, on a unified front, the noise would be deafining. Sacramento has STUPID talent, and in ALL forms of Hip Hop, we just need to get it together and do shows. I know the po-po hates on us rockin' live out here, but where there's a will, there's a way. I'm down to do whatever with whomever in my town, I'm not carin'. I just want our music to be heard.

if we make enough of a buzz ourselves, mainstream radio will HAVE to play it because the streets will WANT it. right now we are in the position where we feel like WE need the radio play in order to be heard, when in fact, songs like "super-hyphy" and shit get started in the streets...it's the buzz generated and the hustle behind it that got the radio feelin' like THEY HAD to play it because the streets were knockin' it so much, feel me?
