He's Locked Up, where does touring come into play? lol. From my prospective, I would imagine that those that respect Tech as an artist would respect X as an artist, guess that's just a bay prospective or somethin but to me I get the same fix musically: deep tracks, hardcore tracks and fun tracks on every album from both these cats. They are the same genre to me, never imagined any different. Thank God for individuality but it seems that there's alot of closed mindedness goin on here. Strange getttin ahold of even 1 album's worth of HQ X-Raided Vocals is a rare opportunity to get an artist actually at the caliber of Tech N9ne himself and takin them to the next level. Every strange release I'v heard has supurb engineering and production, packaging, you name it, X has a name like Lynch that can really draw some good numbers given this kind of backing. It could be benificial for both parties, I'd love ta see it happen.

First of all, I am an X fan, bought Xcorcist when I was about 12 ? I don't remember.. But this would be the dumbest thing I've heard, sign his ass when he gets out. I listen to X, but even his best jailhouse recording thus far IS NOT studio quality, I'm not putting that shit it my whip, period. What they going to spend thousands of dollars on production and engineering the music with vocals that were recorded through headphones or some other jailhouse recording method? DO NOT WANT

moonchild still is wondering why hes the only one who thinks this is a good idea. unless X handed the album over to strange FOR FREE, strange would lose money on putting out an X cd. actually, id be surprised if strange made the money back it would take to press up enough albums to distribute nationally. u need to ease your grip on raideds nuts bro.

He's Locked Up, where does touring come into play?
Where DOESN'T touring come into play?

1. Making music
2. Touring
3. Promoting

That's how it goes. Nobody understands that face to face, city to city promo is better than a tv spot as an independent better than Strange does.

He would be the first act that DIDN'T tour. Even the distro brats pay their dues by touring.

it's not even about being the "best tourer" or whatever. touring is a promotional tour. you cant just put out a X-Raided cd and say "this guy has a great back story! cop his album!"

he can't tour, cant make videos like Lynch can. i'm not against this per se, i'm simply saying from a business perspective, might not be the best (re: profitable) signing for Strange.

he could make a four part series of videos...

The first being him holding onto the bars rapping through them at the camera.
The second with him dangling his feet off the top bunk.
The third one with him pacing back and forth in the cell.
And to finish off the video series he could do the "colony rock" in the back corner near the toilet.

That would be the hottest set of music videos to come from that cell block.

Honestly if they really wanted Raided all they would have to do, from my understanding, is front tha money to pay a lawyer which is supposedly all he's waiting for to get out of Prison cuz all he needs to do is appeal and he's basically out...seriously....and I think that enough people are ready for an actual studio album from X that Strange could make their money bacc on their investment but profiting much from it would be another story entirely.....
Raided and Lynch's fanbase for the most part are the same and Lynch's album didnt take off crazy when it dropped....what they do 7g tha first week?? You think tha first thing X gonna wanna do is take off on tour for 3 months to promote his album after being on locc down since what '92....Im as big a fan of X as anyone here but this doesn't make sense

I think x signing to strange would be a good thing for both of them it would bring x more fans that havent really heard about him and then it would bring alot of fans would normally wouldnt listen to anything that strange puts out too. and of course it would help x get more money towards his appeal so I say HELL YEAH.

touring is a promotional tool but definetly not the only way to promote an album.hell raided has a strong fanbase with no touring, hardly any promotion on bad labels.if strange really wanted to make something great they would do and lynch and x raided album......and the whole video thing lol if i remember right that "smile" video was tight as hell and didnt have pac in it just scarface, soo you dont need the artist to make a video just someone with vision
