The chargers traded for AJ Feely today from the dolphins which means they're probably gonna trade either Brees or Rivers. Who do you think is going?

Im saying it's Brees - i think he's an overacheiver and i don't think the Chargers want to pay him the money he's earned with his play.

neither - F the chargers i don't care

If they do trade one of them I don't think it will be Brees unless they are ready to put the team in Rivers' hands

I voted for Rivers.

Brees is on his second solid season. They have a good O. I don't see them throwing that away on someone who hasn't proven himself yet. What if he's a bust?

No way they trade Brees...That would be crazy! Rivers hasn't proved anything, they should trade him while his stock is up...If they put him in and he's another Ryan Leaf that would be a dumb ass move...Also, if they trade him and he becomes another Peyton Manning they might look bad too...Keep Brees...

They should trade rivers to the redskins for sean taylor or to dallas for roy williams...

Lemon was better than that fucker..
dallas would never trade roy williams & they dont even need a QB. I think its gonna cause some problems treadin while ur team is startin to do good

Hell yeah i voted for Brees. Fuck Brees. No one has seen Rivers play, so how can you judge him?

To me Brees is an overachiever - he's not your "Prototypical" QB - he's on the smallish side, he doesn't have a big arm and he's not super athletic.

Drew Brees=Jeff Garcia - and don't give me that shit Garcia was all pro and what not. He was but he supporting cast was because of it. Kinda like how Brees cast makes him.

I can't believe so many of you voted Rivers. If they wanted Brees, Do you think they would only signed him to a 1 year deal?

thats why they signed him to a 1 year deal dip shit, if the didnt want him they would have tagged him, and let somebody else sign him.

if they wanted him, why wouldnt they sign tie him up for a long term deal so they wouldnt have to worry about him getting away

but youre arguement is, we want him so much that we'll give another team a chance to sign him instead of locking him up cause we lose the guy we want, we'll get that draft pick...sure makes sense

of course you know, thats why you've got your poms poms out huh you big cheerleader

let put you up on game............the chargers went out and drafted a qb two years ago. they had all but given up on brees. Phillip Rivers held out, thats when brees got the oppurtunity to start. He ended up having a great season. at the end of last season the chargers were in a bind, you got this 1st rd pick on the bench but yet you got this pro bowl starter. what to do????? this was actually a luxury, rivers is young enough to sit one more year, and you give your pro bowl starter one more chance to prove the year he had was not a fluke.....thats where we sit today. brees is having a pretty good season again. as long as he does as good or better than last year, he stays. plain and simple.....the chargers will get a high pick or good trade value for rivers.....and all this "prototypical QB" stuff is overrated. look at some of the great qbs of past and tell me how many of those are the prototypical qb.....shit wasnt Ryan Leaf the "prototypical QB?"....you answered your own ? about who should stay in a earlier post....."no bodys seen rivers play" thats exactly why we should stay with a proven QB....no one is saying rivers wont be great, but at this point and time...brees is the way to go............oh and i should add, i hate brees!!!!!but hes proving himself.....

I think the Chargers were very fortunate that Brees has played as well as he has. But at the same time, because he's played so well, he's played himself into a big paycheck. Do you think the Chargers want to break the bank to keep Brees? They might not want to, but they're gonna have to if they want to keep him. I think the Chargers are in a great situtation. They have a good chip to deal right now - either move the proven QB or the QB with potential - for instant help and are in a good position to be the team to beat in the AFC west no matter what theyre record is right now.

How about this, do you think Brees has what it takes for the chargers to win a title?

if he plays well and the bolts want him, then yeah they'll need to break the bank, at that point the ball is in drews court, and he deserves it. if the chargers make the playoffs with drew brees this season and they decide not keep him, it will be a public relations nightmare....keep in mind that the chargers are trying to get a new stadium and need the publics vote. they cannot afford to take a step back. as far as brees having what it takes, dont know guess we'll see. but everything is possible if you have a good supporting cast, trent dilfer proved that a few years back with baltimore

Yes Dilfer proved you don't need a star QB to win - but theyre defense was ridiculous.

Is Brees popular in San Diego? i mean is he a fan favorite or are there still some people still thinking its a fluke? I hear you on the stadium issue. Chargers need to play this one smart, it'd be a shame to see this one blow up in their face.
